Can't believe it's all over...:(

I totally saw it coming months ago, but here it is...Wedding blues!!!!

Now that all the excitment around the wedding planning, the wedding itself and the honeymoon is over, I kind of feel a little depress. Everything was so perfect, from the bachelorette to the honeymoon that I can't believe it's gone and will never happen again. I'm so glad I'm married and I looooooove my husband and my married life but the last couple of months were just so exciting that I find it a bit hard to go back to a "normal" life...ahah (probably don't help that I'm actually in front of my computer trying to write my thesis...which I'll be doing for the next 5 monts...)! At least there will have the wedding pictures and video coming soon to make me feel a bit of the wedding feeling again...!

Anyway...I'll definitly stick on PW to look at your amazing planning journey and wedding, trying to live it again through you ;)!

It’s so hard eh? PW seriously saved me (and my new marriage lol) from going into a deep depression once it was done. I know people who are ecstatic when they no longer have to plan and others that get so sad. I guess it affects everyone in a different way.

Waiting for your pics and video will help for sure. In the mean time becoming a PW veteran and helping out the newbie’s is the easiest way to blast those blues….

Good luck!!!

Totally been there!!

PW is a great way to stay connected to those feelings...and you can spread it out a little. You'll have your pictures, thank-yous, and I still haven't found time to finish my guest book quilt or scrapbook all the cards. And once you get your pictures you will need to shop for some awesome frames and figure out how/where you want to display them...you'll have post-wedding activities for awhile!

Yup... DITTO... PW lets you relive your wedding day and gives you the opportunity to share what you learned along the way with other planning brides!

I won't lie though.... nothing can prepare you for the inital shock of 'the excitement coming to a crashing hault' and wow what do I do now that I'm not planning... but those little things in your daily start becoming exciting again.... Like going out for ice cream a lunch time.

What do you mean it will never happen again!!! VOW RENEWAL BABY!!!!! My best friend, who was married three years ago, began planning her 10 year vow renewal the day after her wedding.

Awwww!!!! So sorry you feel like this! Am I the only weird one that is okay it is done and over with? Lol. During my planning process, it was fun seeing my vision come alive and picking out things for my wedding, but my focus was primarily on being Mrs. Young. I am so loving the married life and happy I have pictures to relive the memories!

Also, I am a romantic at heart, crafty for no reason and like doing functions, so maybe that's why I am not feeling the wedding blues. Plus, I find great pleasure in seeing all our new ladies doing wedding planning and being able to answer questions that I have experienced makes me feel soooo useful!

Ahhhh thanks ladies! Reading you and spending time on PW totally cheers me up!

@Girlonfire30: Totally looooooooooove this idea! However, not sure DH is ready yet to hear about this whole new planning idea, lol!

@Mrs.CaleYoung: I love your attitude and totally understand your point. I wouldn't go back for anything in the world since I love being DH's wife more than everything. I'll definitly try to stick to your positive attitude about it!

I know how you feel 10000%!! I experienced those blues a few months after the wedding as well, but then I realize I can just bud in with OTHER people's wedding planning... LOL I'm totally kidding ;)

But seriously, that's why I love PW!! It helps me to remember all of the planning we did and how I felt through everything... and in the long run I'm glad it's over because I can look back and smile, and now I have so much free time to dedicate to my husband :)

I wonder if I will feel this way when it's all said and done.

I find that I'm so busy with working 2 jobs and planning that I am going to enjoy the slower pace.  I probably wont enjoy it for long because I don't sit still long, but for a bit I'm going to enjoy that peace and quiet of being done planning.

I've been warned about this. So to try to help I'm planning different events for after the wedding - a fall harvest dinner party, halloween party, thanksgiving and a christmas cookie exchange. And we are also planning trips. AZ in Dec. Vegas maybe in March. New York in the spring. and we are already brainstorming where to go for our anniversary. :) Try to find things to occupy your time now. Or were there things you wish you could while planning the wedding but didn't have the time or money. For us it's focusing on our house - decorating, remodeling, landscaping. And hopefully getting some new furniture. So many things to look forward to. Just try changing the way you're looking at the wedding being over.

I am a little sad that the wedding planning is over. It was a fun experience, so I understand where you're coming from. But just think of it this way...now you have the time (and money!) to do all those things that you couldn't before! I am so excited that I finally have time to be a wife--just hang out with my husband, keep up with the laundry, plan and cook yummy dinners and find new recipes, pin things on Pinterest and actually do them, make things for our house, decorate, and work in the garden! I'm trying to pour all the creativity that went into our wedding into our home, and I'm finding it really fulfilling:)

You're so right Littlebit! I totally found myself having a LOT of ideas of how to decorate our home (which we bought 2 years ago and have like only one frame on the wall!!!).
