Candles- Long Burning Time?

Hi Ladies!! it's been crazy here at work and in my personal life so i havent been on the boards lately but I am looking occasionally and im loving the new site!!! so i was looking at the candles that I currently have for our guest tables and I saw that the burn time is about 3 hours.. That is not going to work because I want them to last from the time they light them (before the reception) to the time the reception ends that that should be about 6 hours.. Does anyone know where I can get candles at a discount price for a longer burn time? i am thinking we will be using about 5 pillar candles per table.. there will be about 22 tables... :-( help!

Sorry I don't have any good suggestions for you but I'll *bump this up to the top of the list for you. I'm sure that some of the other ladies will be able to recommend some good candles. :)

Here is a site that you might want to check out.  They haev different sizes of unscented pillars and the burn time seems to be a lot longer than what you currently have.  :-)

I had ordered from them for our wedding and I was very pleased with our candles.

Check out Ikea.  I am looking for some candles as well with a nice burn time and really tall.  All of their pillar candles look like they will meet your requirements for burn times.

I would also suggest that you check out our Deals and Classifieds section, as many times brides who have already had their weddings list items there that they are selling.  :-)

I was also going to suggest that you could make your own candles, but that might be a bit much.  LOL

Oooh, let me check Dollar Tree when I got out later on.  I could have sworn that they have the long-burning candles there.

Oh good!!! I forgot to let you know about Dollar Tree - I didn't see any, so it's a good thing you found them on that site.

Oh really, very good to know. I have to go and "retrieve" some candles this weekend for an event, so I will not be going there to check.  :-)

I'm glad you found some! We bought all the tealights for our wedding from Jysk (not sure if it's only in Canada, though!), and they lasted for the 4-5 hours we needed them.

Glad you solved the problem! I was also going to suggest lighting one and doing a trial run. Ours said they had a three hour burn time, but I finally blew it out after 5 hours so you never know!
