Cane Corso anyone?

Do you or anyone you know have a Cane Corso? We are looking into buying one right now. They are so pretty and our Rotty would love a friend.

They are beautiful and loyal dogs. However, they have been bred for centuries for fighting. Definitely do your research, you are smart I'm sure you already have :) ! Make sure to go with a good breeder and I'm sure you will be fine

I had talked to someone about this breed! They are beautiful! I would watch about them being bred for fighting. Example. I have an American Bulldog and we aren't sure if he is part Pitbull or Presas Canario or what. But anyway, he's a big baby and he's not mean at all (thought anyone coming over to the house would think differently), but he does try to bully me. He weighs almost as much as I do and he knows I can't handle him by myself. So he bullies me. So if you do get one, just show him who's boss. That's where I went wrong with my Charlie.

I don't know anything about them really, but I googled them, and they are SO CUTE!!!  I know that doesn't help, but I just had to say it.  :)

Sarah, would you consider a bull mastiff? They are a little more family friendly and the fighting has been bred out of them a little. Sarah would you consider photo 1331531-1

My coworker has one and brings him to daycamp, he is fantastic with other dogs and really mellow when need be but still active.

Right now we have a Rottweiler which is the Cane Corso's brother. Both dogs were originally bred for similar things. Our Rottie is a big baby! He is looking to be 140lbs so he is a larger than normal rottie that likes to lay on your lap haha.

But through the centuries the fighting has nearly been bred out.

There are some award winning breeders in CO that we have been talking to. I just love the Cane Corso because they are pretty rare in the U.S. which we really like.
