CD 12 Ultrasound Results

I just got back from my ultrasound appointment....

It was another bust :(  My follicles are not big enough to show that I am going to ovulate this cycle....and my lining is too thin again (I have been doing the baby aspirin - any other ideas??)

It just looks like I am someone who doesn't respond to Clomid so it is onto an RE.  She does want me to come back on CD 20 to check my Progesterone level, but that is just to give the RE an idea of my levels before the appointment.

Sad day :(

Not sure if this works or not but the girls on the bump say Pomergranite Juice.

(copied from the bumpies)

Pomegranite Juice - This juice improves the thickness of your uterine lining, which is especially helpful for those on fertility treatments. It has to be pure pomergranite juice, not a "mix" like the ones minute maid produces. 8oz daily starting from CD1. Be warned, if you do not get a BFP, AF will make the blood scene from Carrie look like 'nuthin.

Sorry I really thought you were going to give good news:( *HUGS*

I'm so sorry sweetie!  That can't be easy. :(  Clomid sucks when it comes to uterine lining...I'm pretty sure that's why mine was so thin.  And I took baby aspirin!  I don't think aspirin or pomegranate juice will help your lining much if the Clomid is having that kind of thinning effect.  I know some doctors give estrogen supplements to help with the thinning but really, if you're not responding to Clomid then why bother with trying to thicken the lining?  Have you talked to your doctor about Femara?  It's another oral med like Clomid but it doesn't have the CM and lining issues that Clomid does.  It produces fewer follicles than Clomid but who cares!?!  At this point, you just want to ovulate one! :)  Femara might be a good option to look into.  If not, then I think it's definitely time to see an RE.  With the PCOS diagnosis and not responding to Clomid, you might be a candidate for injectible meds.   Just a thought.  I'm still sending all positive thoughts your way and I hope you find your answer very, very soon!!  Hugs!!

Sorry to hear :( I hope you'll be able to get an appt with the RE soon. I didn't respond to clomid either and my uterine lining wasn't the best either. Maybe the next med will be Femara. That worked for me. And maybe you can ask about a progesterone supplement? I'm taking it right now to get my levels up.  I know it's easier said than done, but keep your head up. You will be a mom! Sending positive vibes your way :)

Thanks Ladies -

Michelle - The strongest thing my OBGYN can give me is Clomid. She told me that she believes I am just one of those who is resistant to Clomid.  I already have an RE appointment booked so I will be seeing him on June 9th.  I am hoping to try Femera and then move onto injectables if that doesn't work.  I am just looking forward to being with a doctor that specializes in treating this type of thing with many options in front of us.

VheartsM - Your success story keeps me staying positive :)

I'm so sorry, sweetie!!  But the fact that you are moving on to an RE is promising.  I hope they can figure out the right combo for you.  You are going to be a mommy in the future, I just know it!! *hugs*

I'm really sorry about the utrasound results :(
On the bright side, you're RE appt isn't far off and I have a feeling you will get some answers and get a bfp before you know it. :)

I'm really hopeful about your next efforts in seeing an RE!  It's true, unfortunately, and sometimes our OBGYN's can't do much else than prescribe Clomid.  Not responding to it sucks, but it is definitely not the end of the line!  Just like the other gals said, you might be a prefect candidate for some stronger meds that will get your body in baby-making mode!  I'm really pulling for you and hope you can get some great treatment with your RE!

I'm sorry for your news ccia - I was really hoping this round of clomid would work for you. BUT, like the other girls said - June 9th is just around the corner (trust me, I am counting down the days!). Soon you will have a new plan, one that will work for you - I just know it :)
