HEY THERE LADIES....HOPE ALL HAVE BEEN WELL! I AM BACK AND MARRIED!!! OF COURSE STILL NEED TO LOSE WEIGHT.


LET'S GET OUR AUGUST CHALLENGE GOING AND "SHOW ME THE NUMBERS"


It will be just 31 days long starting AUGUST 1ST and ends on AUGUST 31ST!


Don't forget to share it with us!


If you want a buddy let me know....those with buddies keep up motivating each other!


If you join later than the start date just update the number of days left in the challenge.

Great Jennifer!!!! I have from that point (8/1/11) exactly 34 days left till we get married!! I've actually attained the goal I set for myself in the beginning....said I wanted to get back to 125 lbs., I'm 5'3", but said I'd settle for 130 lbs. by the time of the wedding and worry about the other five afterward! Well I've really been sticking to eating the right things to be able to lose and it's paying off. If my scale is right and I'm pretty sure it's damn close if not right then I've made it to 130 lbs. So now I'm working on the last five before the wedding yaaaaa of course it may mean my Mom having to take my dress in a little, but it's fitted enough that I don't think the 10 I'll have lost will make a huge difference, at least I hope not!! Good thing my Mom is an excellent seamstress!! That's put me at losing a whopping 35 of the 40 I had gained!!! Yeeeehaaaaaa!! BTW I have before and after pics posted in the before and after group.... :) Good luck girls, we can do this!!

Right, this time I am actually going to lose something. I have decided on a dress and don't want to order the size I had to try on, and I have e-pics booked in for Oct 15.


Therefore my goal this month is 31/4kg/0 (sorry, I don't know how to work in pounds).

Weigh in for Monday (this is an afternoon weigh in with clothes and shoes and the shoes weight 1 and a half lbs.) was 135. Weigh in Saturday morning without clothes was 127 by my really really old scales, but I think they're still pretty close! So here's what I'm going with anyway 31/5/0 with a weight of 135! :) So it's hitting the gym 4 times a week for 45 minutes of dumbell exercises and no lunch those days should do the trick!! Good luck ladies!! :)

Oh yeah and scratch taking up the dress, I got it friday and it likes at least 2 inches to zip so my mom is letting it out and some other things to make it look right :(

31/5/1.5 (133.4)  So I have my wedding dress completely apart (the bodice didn't fit at ALL) and the ugly metallic gold frog closures off, now we're waiting on the place that made it in China to send us a little over two yards of the lace used on it so that my Mom can totally remake the whole bodice!! Going to be two pieces instead of one and the top is totally different now.....it did have a v-neck with collar, now it's going to be like the sister Pippa's dress in the royal wedding!! Oh and we're lining the top with a light weight material so it's going to  be sooooooo much cooler!!! My mom is also going to make it scooped at the neck in the back also, plus putting a bustle in it (I have to paint the hooks so it will blend with my dress) we found a tulle flower with seed pearl cluster, a square crystal gem, and a regular sized pearl in the center and it totally matches the dress so we'll use that to cover where the bustle attaches!!! SOOOOO can't wait to see what it looks like!!!!!

I have lost 5 lbs in 1 week.  Keep me encouraged!!!  WEnt from 280 to 275!  Yeah!  My vow renewal isn't for awhile.  I want to be thin and and really beautiful form fitting dress next time!

Hey Cole, you can do it, 9 lbs. WTG!!! I started at 165 and it's been a long road, which thankfully I had a while to lose it, but I feel soooo much better! Next year it should be time for a bikini again! :)  Loved your wedding dress the detail on the back is beautiful!!! XoXo

31/5/1.7 not much change this week I'm at 133.4 lbs. Ate out a few times this week and couldn't help myself had to have the fried okra and a ravioli marinara dinner.....oh well trying a little harder this week. Oh and it's that time of the month so that could be making it look like I haven't lost any too.....at least that's what I'm hoping for!! Hey Nubian 1.2 is great....are you still doing the hard workout too?

Not sure how I did that other than I had a few days on the weekend I didn't really eat anything but dinner and spent the days running and getting things done.....plus I think the stress mode is kicking in too! Oh well going by my scales on Sunday I weighed 126, so one more pound and I'm back down weight wise where I started before I gained the 40lbs. Yaaaaaa it's about time!! I've lost more in measurements too, an inch in my hips which really surprised the hell out of me. I've been exercising that area too, but really wouldn't have thought I would lose a whole inch since the first of July, and I lost another 1/2 inch in my waist!! I've lost enough I'm thinking IF I have the money I'm buying a bikini for the honeymoon, and I didn't feel as funny about doing the B-Pics either......but, it doesn't end there, still have to be diligent about what and how much I eat, and I WILL continue to exercise, though I might tone it down a little after I get the six pack I've always wanted LOLOL

Any loss is good Nubian, you keep it up you'll get there!! I know that the Alli helped me out bunches, and my dr. was actually ok with it since it's not a "diet" pill, but a fat blocker.

@sonyawalts64, I completed my P90X routine. I got amazing results and lost all of my back fat while doing it. I lost inches around my waist as well but never lost weight. Muscle weighs more than fat.

Now I am back to my Turbo Fire routine. Still working out 6 days a week.

Nubian I didn't know you were doing the P90X too, I've heard that's really a hard workout!! How does the Turbo Fire compare to it? Yes muscle does weigh more I think that's why my weight didn't seem to budge for so long at a time, because the workout I chose is supposed to be about building muscle not just toning them. After we get back from vacation I intend to do more leg exercises, walking, elliptical, and do more stomach and oblique type exercises. I hear good things about Pilates and if I pay a little I can go to those classes through my gym, I'd thought about trying that earlier, but opted to stick with what I knew was working! :)
