Hey there, check out this bio: http://www.theknot.com/co_profileview.htm?profilename=Sfbubbly&MsdVisit=1

The bride's dress is a Monique Lhuillier, but it's very much the same idea as what you're thinking - and doesn't it look great? So exciting!

(I would post the pictures here, but she seems pretty serious about not clipping!)

Wow!!! THAT IS EXACTLY what I had in mind! Thanks darling!
Did you look at her Nest bio? That is one tough cookie, she lost her first two newborns but is expecting again! Wow, I always admire women who have been through that and are still wonderfully hopeful.

Thought so! The top is REALLY similar to the lace Jenny Yoo top - the biggest difference being that the bottom hem of the JY top is below the sash. And I actually think the mermaid skirt you're considering is prettier than her gathered full skirt.

I hadn't looked at her Nest bio, but now that I have - she seems really cool! And you're right - it must take a lot of strength to go through the fertility problems she's having...

What a beautiful dress! Is that a bolero that's custom to the dress or an added piece? (2piece dress?)

OKAY WHERE are you finding those aching??

Miss Mandy, I'm looking at two piece dresses (a plain strapless with a lace layer on top) but I don't see why you couldn't have a custom bolero made of lace and added to any dress.

Miss Mandy - this LOVELY wedding had a similar idea, she had her bolero custom made I believe. I emailed her once to compliment her, I know she checks her email if you were interested in having one made! Hers turned out beautifully, may as well go to someone experienced, you know?

Oh, thank you, Champagne!

I've been debating about using cap sleeves that are detachable (already made by a friend) or a bolero. But I think I might go with the latter. Just looks so much more elegant.

Thanks for the link!

Hi Champ - I don't remember where I came across SFBubbly's Knot bio (it was only this morning, but I forget nonetheless!) - but the three photos are from Brides.com. I was curious to see if other brides had worn the same dress as SFBubbly - since ML is so popular, I figured they had! You know I'm a big fan of this style, and I realized today when I did the search that in addition to being beautiful, it really stands out in a sea of straplessness!

Don't mean to but in but I see this gown on ebay all the time and sometimes the brides sell just the bolero! The auctions are starting low.

Hope this helps!

Wow, I didn't even look at the rest of the wedding, but now that I do, it does look like you (strange how I feel like I know even though we've never met)! The colors, the flowers - even the luminaria! That's so exciting...=)

I wanted to mention, though, for what it's worth - I like the sash tied in a bow with long tails, like SFBubbly, rather than cummerbund-style like the other brides have it. I also like the brooch on the sash like the bride in the first picture!
