Cheap/Reliable Tripod Recommendation?

I have a Gorillapod, I want something more standard.  Gorillapod is great and all, but sometimes I just want to set up my cam and not have to hang it from a tree or something crazy like that! :)  Any recommendations?

i have this one:  http://www.amazon.com/Manfrotto-190XB-Section-Aluminum-Tripod/dp/B000N4LJZI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1312388401&sr=8-1

with this ball head:  http://www.amazon.com/Manfrotto-486RC2-Compact-Connect-System/dp/B00009R6MQ/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1312388504&sr=1-1

both are very sturdy...you need both, typically the ball head does not come with the tripod....

but honestly...i only use it about once a year...usually for personal use, i have never used at a wedding or engagement or portrait session...

i use my $50 light stand for my off camera flash WAY more....

Manfrotto Bogen. Can't go wrong.

May not be cheap but you'll never have to buy one again. Mine is going on 15 years old.

I also have the ball head but my quickrelease plates are hexagons (or whatever).

I have three (one big 'un and two smaller ones) and my husband took over a smaller one and we canablized the other for parts).
