Welcome to PW! La Venta Inn is very expensive (IMO). Beautiful, but very pricey. Check their website. You can sign in and get their pricing sheet. http://www.laventa.com/request_info/request_info.asp hope that helps!

I heard it was pricey too. But, the venue and view is spectacular.

I thought the La Venta was pretty expensive too. But what is your budget and idea of cheap?

We looked high and low for a venue that was not a rip off. We loved La Venta Inn, BUT....CHA CHING!!!!  Malibou Inn lake club was the most beautiful place we found and the most reasonable. Many different options for food, you can bring in your own alcohol too. Check it out. Google for their blog and you will find many many pictures. Their website does not do them justice

for a view try point vicente interpretive center in palos verdes. but you have to bring everything EVERYTHING in. they have tables and chairs but they're not the nicest. i would have done it there but it was too hectic trying to get all of those vendors andplan all that from here.

If you are looking for a great price, I am using Cafe Del Rey in Marina Del Rey. It holds a max of 55 people in its private room, but it is gorgeous and the price is wonderful. We are doing a appetizer and main meal for 50/person- and the food selection is amazing (we were able to talk them down on the price). Total for food and non-alcoholic drinks is 3,000, and this includes tax and service fee. Plus you get to use everything they have including tables, linens, chairs, candles, and flowers--orchids. And the room is made of glass windows that look out onto the marina. And it has a fire place. They are totally willing to work with you and it has been a blessing for me, FI, and our budget. No rental fee and no hidden costs. And because we are having it on a Sunday, they waived the cake cutting fee, brought the food price down $8/person and non-alcohol drinks down, and they are doing a free room flip. They are incredible and I can't wait to have my reception there!!!! Hope it helps...
