I'm pricing out candy for our dessert buffet and was wondering what website everyone used? I didn't realize candy that candy is so expensive!
What types of candy are you looking for?
I found a few places for you online.
got ours from here..http://www.americanbridal.com/
I ended up purchasing a lot of mine at Sam's Club and Ollie's (kinda like Big Lots). We had a small group (80 for our AHR) and had TONS left over! I probably spent $60 on 7 different types of candy.
Becca- I checked all of those but I wanted to see if there was anything cheaper. :)
Jess- Thank you! Next time I'm in the city I'll have to look. We only have about 50 people coming. I was looking at rock candy (the loose stuff, not on the sticks...too expensive for my taste) because it's too much time to make and some other miscellanious stuff.
Missy- Thanks hon!
This site has bulk rock candy sold by the pound.
5.99 per pound for up to 5 lbs and if it is over 5 lbs, it goes down to 5.69 per pound. Maybe if another bride is having a candy bar, you could discuss sharing the cost.
Thinking of a candy bar also. Any tips on what type of candy is the best seller to guests?? Thanks!
this helped me (a little)
I bought my candy at a little outlet by my house (the perks of living in southern California).
I am getting my candy from www.candywarehouse.com
They have tons of variety at a good cost :) Hope this helps

I have found this to be an expensive element to the wedding.
Your wedding date is still a ways off, so I would make a list of what you want and the look you're trying to achieve with the candy/sweet table and watch for sales.
As strange as it seems, candy is seasonal too, so you should be able to get some stuff marked down and keep it for your wedding. It would help cut down some expense associated with a candy table.
I agree with cuteboy2me. I was going to go with the candywarehouse.com as well, but we decided not to do the candy buffet. If you do decide to go with it, just pick out a few candies that you really like and fill up multiple jars with it. Also you should look around at some of your local stores as well. You will be surprised at what you may find! I love the carmel filled werthers and I found them at Family Dollar for a dollar per bag. I went to every family dollar in the tri county area. Lmbao!
