Checking In...

Hi Ladies -

I haven't posted in awhile and just wanted to check in with everyone and see how everyone is doing.

I have been having a hard time coming on here to be honest - instead of PW being a support system, it has somehow become a constant reminder of what I don't have.  I only say this because I think some of you can identify with what I mean.

I am currently on CD 35 - With no AF in sight.  The doctor wants me to give it two more weeks to see if AF will start on it's own since I have been on Metformin for over a month.  If she doesn't come in two weeks, it is another round of Provera followed by Clomid which I just feel isn't the right drug for me.   After that, we will be moving onto an RE.

Please feel free to post how you are doing :-)

I'm sorry you're having a hard time sweetie! :(. I completely understand your frustration and heartache...even though we have different issues (I do ovulate and yet I still can't seem to get pregnant), our wish is the same and the sadness is the same. It's so frustrating and maddening when you want something so badly and it's just not as easy for you as it seems to be for others. Hang in there...I have confidence that you will find the right solution for you soon!!

As for me, we're in the middle of our "natural" cycle before doing IUI. No Clomid or temping this month...just DTD every other day and trying to relax and let whatever will happen, happen. It has been really nice, actually. I feel at peace right now in this cycle...maybe it's because I know we have an aggressive plan if this cycle doesn't work. O should be this week sometime so fingers crossed!

I am crossing my fingers for you beatie!  Please make sure to post how the IUI process goes for you.  If I still can't get ovulating on different meds/shots that will be something we will want to look into as well.

I'm trying Provera again (started pills last Tuesday - so should get AF early next week) to see if that will 'kick start' my system on its own. Its possible - it just hasn't happened to me the other 2 times I have tried it. Its been 9 months now since I stopped BC and the crazy thing is that I actually thought I would get pregnant right away... which would have meant I would be almost due :( I now know how crazy I was assuming that - but I didn't know any better.

I see my GYN on June 9th for the first time - I'm assuming she will do more blood tests and hopefully have some answers for me and more importantly, a plan. I want to be pregnant more than anything in this world and its very upsetting that it just won't happen. Even DH is getting upset - which is saying a lot as there was a time he wasn't sure he wanted kids.

You ladies are so great and its so great to hear stories about people that are having trouble (not that I wish trouble on anyone, but you know what I mean) as it seems all I ever hear is - I'm pregnant, it was so easy... my friend even got pregnant while on the pill!!!

Anyway - good luck to you all :)

Amy - I am so glad your appointment is almost here - I remember when you were posting and June felt like so long away, but it is almost your time for answers!!

We are on 9 months of trying as well - It is so crazy that if it would have happened the first month we would have tried I would almost be full term :/  I know there are many out there who have been trying for years and my heart goes out to them as well - It is just you don't hear people talking of infertility....We only hear the "good parts" it seems which makes it even harder.

I just found out that a family friend of ours who is 20 found out she was pregnant.  It was a complete surprise and they don't even want it.  She doesn't have a job, no education, and was just in jail. The baby's father is also unemployed.  These are the hardest stories for me to hear personally.  I don't like asking  God "Why?" but stories like this makes it hard to understand why some people are given such a amazing gift and others who want it so badly can't obtain it.

You took the words right out of my mouth :(
Although I come on to check to see how everyone is doing it is with nowhere near the frequency I used to be on here just a couple of months ago. It has gotten really really hard to see the bfp's. I am happy for those lucky girls that get one right away and extra happy for those that had to wait a long time for one BUT I feel despair now.
I have my next appt with the RE this Thursday where we will discuss our next steps. I am hoping that I will walk away from that appt with a concrete plan in hand. I think just having a defined course of action might help my state of mind. I'm a planner and a "make it happen" type by nature so I think this might be why I am finding it extra hard to deal with our lack of success so far. Even thugh I research things to death and try to do all the right things it's just not happening! I feel like my 4 year old niece when someone says no to her. She sits on the ground, crosses her arms, pouts and says "poopy!" ;)

It's definitely hard to see the bfp's but I have so much hope and I guess that's what keeps me going. I hope you are able to find a good RE...and you are all in my thoughts and prayers... :)  Stay positive ladies... Baby dust to us all!

Awww- try not to get down on yourself girl!!  I am on CD 33 today, I O-ed on either 24 or 25, but I am pretty sure we missed our window this month because we were DTD during an earlier window.  I don't feel pregnant.  I hope AF comes soon so I can start another round of Clomid.

I have been super happy to see BFP's from some of you ladies who have struggled, but going on the TTC group is hard for me sometimes.  I'm sure someday when I get a BFP, I will unintentionally make someone else feel the same way, though.

Know what annoys me more than anything lately?  People who don't have fertillity problems who tell you to stop worrying and stop planning and just let it happen?!?  Ugh.  When you have issues, things need to be planned!!  Sorry, needed to get that out.

ccia - That's great you have an appointment! Trust me, I know its hard having one so far away but June seemed like a life time ago a few months ago when that was the first chance I could get in - but now June is just around the corner!

allie - I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN!!! It drives me CRAZY when people say relax and let nature take its course. One of the first doctors I saw told me that in the wild animals don't temp, track ovulation, etc and they get pregnant... needless to say, I didn't go and see him agani!

One recent comment sent me over the edge!  I wanted to scream!! UGH!  Just because YOU don't have fertility issues doesn't mean the rest of the world doesn't.  I just wish people were more understanding and empathetic about it instead of acting like I'm just being dramatic. *sigh*

people who don't have problems getting pregnant have NO. IDEA. AT. ALL. what infertiles go thru..... most of them got pregnant without even knowing when or if they actually ovulate or even tracking their periods or within a cycle or 2 of TTC....

even thou we've been pregnant twice, we still have no baby....and every day that goes by, i feel like we're getting passed by and it seems like something at the end of a long tunnel we will never reach....yet others take it for granted...it can be painful even if their actions/comments are not meant to intentionally hurt us....
