Ladies, I'm still smiling over my wedding!! It was far beyond what I had hoped for! We'll start from friday afternoon....
Friday morning was so hectic getting everything packed, even though I had started 10 days earlier! I'm always so rushed with everything I do! I also waited to the last minute to bring my dress home, because of the silly button fiasco, I had to bring it to another tailor 2 days before my wedding! Finally it was time for mani/pedis...and yes, it was my very first manicure! Oohhh, it was so exciting, I might have to do it again! hahaha. I was so relaxed after that, but of course we ran late so I had to rush to the hotel and get ready for the RD. That was very emotional for me! Just the idea that all these people were here for us was truly amazing!! AFter dinner, Mike and Chris went back to their hotel room and I went to mine, alone...just how I wanted it! Everyone kept telling me I'd want my sister or one of my friends to stay with me, but I wanted some Nichole time! I watched Four Weddings, ordered breakfast room service, and sewed my veil(I'll get to that later!) The next morning I woke up, not nervous at all, just so super excited to get to my sister's house and start getting ready!!!
The Hair and Makeup girls were awesome! They did a great job on everyone, and they were so sweet and easy to get along with!
The Flowers!(THe real ones) I had a friend of mine doing them, she's just starting her own business. She did a fantastic job on them, exactly what I wanted!
The weather was awesome! It got a little cloudy during pro pics, but the sky opened up just in time for some quality video shots!!
The DJ was awesome, and even though he played a couple songs from my do not play list, I didn't care. At that point the floor was so packed everyone was loving it! At first no one was dancing, and I though, oh no...I'm having one of these weddings! But he got everyone so pumped and the floor was packed all night!
The venue was awesome, everyone kept saying what a great place it was. And they set everything up so beautifully!
The after party was great! Everyone went back to the hotel bar and it was so fun playing pool in my dress!
First off, seeing my groom at the altar, on the verge of crying. He didn't give me a tear but he was definetly choked up and it was so sweet!
My little Chrisopher was so handsome in his little tux. He wouldn't wear the jacket though, but still. When I looked over at him in the church and saw him with his little bowtie, holding a donut, I lost it. And OMG...he's so cute in the highlight video!
I also really loved the fact that when the limo pulled up to my sister's house, I saw all her neighbors coming out onto their porches to watch us! haha
THe FOOD! Was amazing. People are still talking about it. It was all soooo good!
My paper flower were a hit! No one could believe I had made them and they were all impressed! That made me really happy after all the work I put into them!
The video!! I only have the highlights now, but I love it so much!
I had a list of must takes for the photographer, but of course forgot to give it to him. What I ddin't want was a million posed pictures, and that's exactly what I got. I didn't realize until the hour was over that I wasn't going to have any time to get what I wanted. I didn't get a window shot, a shoe shot, or any fun stuff. Just all posed, cheesy pics. Hopefully he got some good ones during the wedding!
When I woke up in the middle of the night the night before, I was up for about 3 hours. Which would have been fine, but I was a little hungover from having too much wine at the RD....which sucked!
The Just Too Funny
When I tried my veil on with my dress, 3 days before the wedding, I realized they were soooooo far from similar in color. I tried to dye it with tea, didn't work. I refused to buy a new one for $200, because I didn't like any of them...I'm so veil picky. So friday morning I'm waiting in the Joann's parking lot for them to open...pacing in front of the store. The woman opens the door and I go " I have a fabric emergency!!" I explained the situation to her, and they proceed to yell to eachother across the giant store "WE HAVE A BRIDAL EMERGENCY....WHERE'S THE IVORY TULLE?!?!?" It was hilarious. So that's why friday night at 11pm, I'm sewing my veil.
The DJ tried to play Sweet Caroline during the game to win the centerpieces, but the song kept skipping, and it was ridiculous. I don't think anyone cared though, it was just funny.
My groom...ya, he had too much to drink! He was so hungover when we finally made it upstairs, we sadly, did not DTD on our wedding night! hahaha
All night everyone was telling me what an awesome wedding it was! From the venue and food and dancing! The ceremony was super short, to the point, but very sweet and perfect! And now, we're married!!! What could be better than that??
