***CLAYTONANDSHAUNA Recap Part IV: Mini-moon
Unfortunately we've had to postpone our honeymoon for a year due to DH's military career. He's being sent away for training for 11 months at school and then 3 months of further training after that. So we had a one night mini-moon.
After we left the reception we headed home to change quickly. Clay into casual slacks and me into a cute little cocktail number with the veil. We have gotten part ways down the street when I realized I had forgotten my darts (I had a tournament I needed to play in the next day), so we go back only to meet up with my folks dropping off all the left over wedding stuff. We finally arrived at the hotel.
Clay reserved us a room at the Magnolia Hotel, where we got engaged. A diamond level room that had soaker tub, fireplace and beautiful city view. As we were checking in I commented that we were excited, just gotten married and decided to have our first night at the place we got engaged.
After chilling in our room for a short time we walked over to the Japanese Village for dinner. Really cool teppan steak house, they cook your meal in front of you and everyone is grouped around one large table and gas-powered grill. As it happened, Clay's folks and family had booked a reservation at the same restaurant but an earlier time so were leaving just as we were arriving.
Everyone at the table, okay the ladies at the table, were commenting on my cute little dress asking if we were just married. There was a group of young boys (read just 19) who were celebrating one of their buddy's birthdays. It was cute as they were each carded and explained what they were celerating.
When we got back to the hotel management had surprised us with a bottle of wine and chocolates from the local chocolate shop.
We snuggled on the king-sized bed until I got changed into my li'l sum'thin, sum'thin and ... the rest you'll have to imagine or not :)
