Clomid after m/c

My husband and I conceived after the 1st month of trying in Feb 2011. We miscarried in late May early June. We waited about 6 weeks for it to happen naturally and then ended up with a D&E. It turns out the Dr was new to this procedure and she injured my uterus and left tissue. 3 procedures later and a new docter and my husband is ready to try again. The new doctor is suggesting we try clomid however Im relucant. We got conceived so easy the first time, however my egg was blank which is what cause the m/c. Have any of you tried clomid after a m/c? Does it help prevent the chance of a blank egg dropping?? Im a bit confused and really want to know the benefits considering it decreases your c/m. Im also terrified that we will m/c again so Im willing to try anything that decreases my chances of another.

Yeah my understanding is that it won't prevent anything, but it can boost your chances of conceiving by pumping up ovulation etc.  And that part depends from woman to woman.  I have no experience with it, but my doc had prescribed it just prior to my bfp.

I have no experience with a blighted ovum. The baby had turners syndrom which means that my egg didn't have an x to give the baby. Good to know that it doesn't prevent anything. I think that was my only reason for trying. Has anyone gone on clomid and had a decreased success rate?

Yes...a friend tried it but it thinned her lining too much for implantation...only go on it after you research and ask your dr questions and only if they monitor you via ultrasound while taking it.

The doctor is recommending it, I am the one that is second guessing. Thanks for the heads up on the thinned lining. After all of 2011 being consumed with medical proceedures around wedding schedules (Im a wedding photographer so my time to conceive is a small window) I want to make sure I weigh all my options. I don't want to do more harm than good however Im willing to do whatever it takes to have a little bundle of joy

I'm not a doctor (wedding photog too actually) but we've been thru hell and back trying to get and stay pregnant...but my advice would be to try a few cycles without clomid, since you got pregnant before without it.

@dogercpkl So so sorry! Keeping you in my heart and prayers.

@jackieg  small world both being photographers :) Im sorry to hear you have had a hard time :( Wishing you good thoughts! I think I am going to try for a little bit without clomid. I might pick up some preseed and just try to enjoy the process again. Thanks for all your info
