I'm starting my 3rd round of Clomid today.  I didn't experience any side effects at all during the first 2 rounds, but unfortunately I didn't achieve pregnancy during either of them either.  During each round, I've taken 100mg per day (they suggested that I take it during the evening) for days 3-9.  Hopefully this round will be just as uneventful symptoms wise but will be more successful than my last 2!  *fingers crossed*

Hi Ashley-  I've used Clomid several times.  In May of 2011, my gyn prescribed 50mg with no monitoring...only CD21 blood work which showed no OV.  I took this for 3 months with no success.

In March of 2012, under the care of an RE, he prescribed 100mg (7 days instead of 5) with daily monitoring starting on CD10 and IUI on CD18.  BFN

In April of 2012 still at 100mg, CD11 my lining was super thin so they started me on estrace...it worked and by the time of my IUI on CD16 my lining was where it needed to be.  BFN

In June of 2012 I continued 100mg of clomid but added injectibles (bravelle) and had my IUI on CD18. BFP but ended in a chemical at 7w.

In August and November we repeated June's protocol with no success.  However, I think it was my Doctors not finding the right dosage for me.  In early December, on CD11 I had a 32mm follicle which I've read is too big...they proceeded with the IUI 2 days later which I think was a total waste of $$ in time.

I know many women that have had success with it and as far as growing follies it did work for me but like I said I think my issue is timing and size and possible lining.

Other than the lining issue I didn't really notice any other side effects...I was moody but that could've just been the stress.

We are currently taking a few months break but I think next time I will ask for Femara based off of Murph's experience.  GL!!
