Coordinators

So I'm thinking about getting a day of coordinator, it will be about $500.  I have room in the budget, but I would like to hear what you ladies have to say. Does anyone have experience working with coordinators or party planners?  Is it worth it?

I don't have any experience personally but I've heard a lot of good things about them! I'd say research the coordinater and find reviews from other brides to see if they found that coordinater helpful! If you have room in the budget I say go for it!

I can't speak for it just yet but it was something that initially I wasn't going to do and decided a few months ago to hire her as the DOC in addition to some things that she was already helping me with.

I think it's a personal choice and depends on how big your wedding is, how many details, people, etc but I can tell you that I feel like a HUGE weight has been lifted off my shoulders.  I think it's well worth the money and piece of mind if you can fit it in the budget.  That's just my opionion of course.  I know many brides who did a fabulous job with family and friends helping them.

Good luck with whatever decision you make.

YES, most definitley!! We paid $400 for ours, and she seriously made sure everything ran smoothly. It's mainly for peace of mind, and not having to worry about it yourself. I think that's a reasonable deal, and if you have room in the budget DO IT! lol. Sorry for the all caps!!

i say go for it.  if anything where to go wrong on your wedding day an experienced coordinator would know how to handle it and make sure you know nothing about it unless absolutely necessary.  it is about making you stress free.

example: at one wedding i saw the florist somehow forgot to make one bouquet for a bridesmaid.  the coordinator took some flowers from each bouquet and made one on the fly.  no one knew anything ever went wrong.
