Ohhh I LOVE it Starsong!!! :) :) That cake looks so yummy....what is it made out of? What does it taste like?

We incorporated Catholic readings and Muslim prayers during our ceremony. At the reception we blended Italian, Arabic and North American music and food! Our table numbers were in Arabic and English.... we had an awesome time! I LOVED watching the guests from other cultures trying to belly dance or do the Italian polka! It was such an amazing night!

wow girlly!!! That sounds like soooo much fun! And I love how you incorporated both Catholic and Muslim prayers!

The cake is pretty dense and crunchy.  It is like an almond cookie, since it is basically made out of almond paste and flour.  Kind of like an almond macaroon! :) mmmmm

We did a bread ceremony!

Its a Polish tradition. DH's parents presented us with a loaf of bread and salt. We ripped off a piece of bread, sprinkled salt on it and ate it to symbolize a steady supply of food and spice in our life. :)

We did a full Hindu ceremony so we did everything--groom's process, the mandap (altar), traditional ceremony and clothes...it was great.  Husband went along with everything and even his side got into it and they all dressed up in Indian outfits and everything.  My religion and culture is very important to me and my husband's not that religious so he was willing to give me and my family what we wanted :D

We did a full photo 2482184-1 -- The altar

We did a full photo 2482184-2 -- After we were husband and wife--I wore a traditional outfit.

There are a ton more pictures on my bio...
