Cuteboy2me: Plate Charger Decision Revisited
I posted a while ago about letting go of the plate chargers for the tablescape at our reception. When I posted that I meant it. That lasted for about a day! I just can't envision the reception table without them.
I've been looking and looking and looking. Well, I can quit looking.
When I first called Hobby Lobby a few months back, asking about placing an order over the phone and coming down to pick them up, they wanted me to drive down to their store, 3 hours +, one way, to buy what they had in stock and then place an order for the remaining plates. It seemed like a lot for me to do, especially when I'm working most days. I just couldn't find the time to get there 2x times in the span of about 2 weeks.
I called Hobby Lobby this afternoon, on the off chance I could get them to place an order over the phone. I explained what I wanted to the girl on the phone. She put me hold for a bit and talked to her manager. Awesome news, they are placing the order for me without me having to head down first, since I'm coming from Canada. I offered my Visa as a deposit to show I'm good for the order, but she said not to worry about it, and that I would offer, she's not worried about me showing up to get them.
My bff is on holidays, starting next week, for 2 weeks and will be heading to the States to hit up outlet shopping malls, so it may work out that she just picks up my order for me! This could not work out better. Even if I do have to head down one day on my own, I don't care!
I'm so happy! I thanked the girl on the phone and made it clear that she just took a stressful situation and made it less stressful and that I appreciated the fact that she went above and beyond the call of customer service. I may leave a thank you note for her when I go down and pick up my order.
I can say without shame, I hung up the phone with tears in my eyes. I'm so happy!
