D'OH! I can't believe I did this!

As a follow-up to my BM dress saga, after getting everyone OK with the gray-instead-of-purple dress thing, I completely got the deadline for ordering the dress wrong!  After telling everyone that we can order the dresses this weekend (and thus everyone has to send in measurements by tomorrow) I realized that the processing time is 12-14 weeks--and I have little over 13 WEEKS to go!

I have messaged all the remaining BMs to get in their measurements ASAP and offered to pay the rush fee (10-12 weeks).  I feel like such an idiot--$80 down the drain!

Boo! I hate those darn things! But at least that 80 bucks will ease your mind and get your dresses in on time!

Why on earth does it take so long to get BM dresses now?? When I got married my girls all ordered their dresses in July for a September wedding, no rush needed. But just last weekend I went in with my bestie to order BM dresses for her late November wedding and we had to put a rush on it and they Still won't come in until 2 weeks before the date!

I think time just flies by waaay too fast for me!

I finally got all of the BMs' measurements and I put in the order yesterday... only to get an email from the seller that there was a problem with my order!  Of course, I didn't get the email until well after their business hours until today and I've been worrying all night that they won't come in time and I'd have to pay the SUPER rush fee of $75 per dress.  Here's how it went:

Me: So you said there is a problem with the order?

Them: Yes, with Dessy, with the rush order, it looks like you won't get your dresses until a week or two before the wedding.

Me: ...[wiping sweat off brow] OK.

Them: Is that OK?

Me:... uh, yeah, that's fine.

They had me really freaking out for a second there!  "On time" is relative, but alterations within a week is not impossible.  I swear, if I had to pay the extra $75 per dress, everyone would have been wearing some random dress on ModCloth.  Which would have been fine, if I didn't plan on having an 8-months pregnant bridesmaid in my wedding!
