in memory of our son whom passed two years ago ....we decided to have a 2000 ct. Ballon release...
I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I love the idea!!
my dad passed before my wedding so we had a memorial table with the pics of loved ones who were already gone. i had a bouquet charm on my bouquet with my dads pic in it, and had 2 charms on my moms bouquet with my dads pic in one and her moms pic in the other.
we personalized the ceremony with songs. during the lighting of the unity candle we had my brother sing steven curtis chapmans "i will be here." after we said our vows we prayed together and my brother sang "the prayer" ther version that donnie mcclurkin and yolanda adams sang, which is in all english.
there were some other personal touches that we made too, but these are my favorites.
I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your son. I think that is a beautiful way to honor him.
We had a few unique touches to our wedding. I think the most unique (for my guests anyway) was our venue. We were married on a boat, it was amazing. We also did the sparkler exit, our favors were hangover survival kits, and we had TONS of glow sticks for the dancing portion of the reception.
THESE ALL SOUND GREAT LADIES.....DO IT UP ....and thank you for your kind words i wish that on one ...the pain of losing a child ....i miss him soo much .....
Awe, that is such a wonderful way of including your son. HUGS comming to you.
-I want my wedding a be a little different as I am trying to really celebrate FAMILY and how important everyone is to me. I want to celebrate our relationship as the continuing growth of love. ..I am also walking down to asile with our children so they can "give me away" to their Daddy :)

Continuing to uplift you in prayer as always and I can't wait to see the balloon release. It is going to be a breath taking moment in honor of him, especially since he loved balloons!
My mom passed in April of 2011 and she so wanted to attend my wedding. Originally I was going to have my oldest sister walk down the aisle in place of my mother and place roses in the chair my mother would have been sitting in to honor her. The day before the rehearsal, I got so emotional I just couldn't do it. What I did do unique was have one of my nieces precede me down the aisle with a bell chanting, "The bride is coming, the bride is coming!" I made up her whole little skipping routine and I wish someone would have recorded the ceremony because I hear she stole the show. People are still talking about it!
