Designed my dress (drawings inside) Thoughts

hello ladies =)

I emailed the company Germanbride recommended to me (THANKS GERMANBRIDE!=oD).

I sent them a photo of the dress I want with the back of the purple dress. They responded, saying that, in order to make the dress correctly, they needed to see the actual back of THE dress....Well as you all know. The original dress doesn't have a photo of the back, and I didn't like the lightinbox version....so I DREW IT! as well as made some small alterations to the original. I hope they can work off a drawing!!!

Here it is: The sash is really the same color as the rest of the material, I made it darker so you can see that its laying over top. I needed to add this so I could do the open back.Let me know what you think =)

This is beautiful! Was this the only drawing you submitted?

I would reccomend sending them some images of similar backless dresses so you can explain what you like and don't like about images that they can reference. I just did a quick search here - http://lover.ly/search?q=backless+dress.

I would love to get updates as you continue this process!

me to Tessy!!! YAY!!!! lol

Sarah- the drawing is a lot more detailed then what it looks like on my post. PW shrinks the image and reduces the resolution...it's still a good idea though, i was thinking about doing that, i just worry it may confuse them =P...maybe I'll just crop out parts of photos and send that...I also plan on detailing what is what, with notes. Thanks for this though ;)

1Corinthian- thank you for the complement! I have thought about designing anything and EVERYTHING at one point or another lol. I am currently making a living as a graphic designer, and fine artist ( i sell my paintings and sculptures in gallery's)...but in the past I have done interior design as well, which I also love... I even designed my dream home already and its to scale, just need and architect to draw up the plans lol it's only 2,400sq feet, a good size, not huge, but I don't need huge...besides it feels so much bigger then it is because of the 20' ceilings and window wall that open to a courtyard ;).....when i was getting married i thought about opening a bossiness making non-traditional wedding invitations and stationary as i got sooo many complements on on mine that i made using real mother of pearl sea shells, I shipped them in boxes filled with raffia pics below

=sigh= i wish i could do everything lol...

1Corinthian thank you for photo 3427218-1
