DH and your Pregnancy

How are all of your DH's handling your pregnancy?  I always swear that my DH acts like I'm not even pregnant but then last night we were sitting on our bed and he had his hand on my stomach hoping to feel the baby move.  After about 10 mins LO finally moved around and DH could feel it and he's like "I'm kind of jealous that you get to have all these moments all day long and I don't."  Awe!  I told him he was sweet but I reminded him of the M/S and cramps and back pains and etc haha.  He told me he'd make a terrible woman and could never be pregnant.  Do any of your DH's have moments where they feel a little left out of things?  To make DH feel better I ordered him a onesie at Christmas that says "Trust me my dad's a welder" and that's what LO will be wearing on his/her way home from the hospital, so I know he's happy about that.

How cute!

Early on DH really didn't talk about it much. I think he was still processing how much our lives are going to change. He was able to feel the baby kick for the first time on Thanksgiving and I think it's opened him up. We also had a scare earlier this month with me bleeding and in the hospital. It really made the baby real for both us as we were both beyond scared we were going to lose her. Now DH calls her names and tells her he cant wait to pinch her cubby thighs. :)

That is sweet.  DH definitely isn't jealous.  His life pretty much continued on as normal after our BFP.  I mean, he has been so much more helpful around the house etc. but generally, fatherhood hasn't really dawned on him.  (Then again, honestly sometimes I forget I'm pregnant!)  He been more involved and asking questions since we took our hospital tour last night.  But he's still leaves a lot of decision making to me and is open to everything from registry choices to taking birthing classes to hiring a doula.  I do keep him constantly informed and he will state a opinion if he feels strongly about something.
