1. We did disposables with Alexis, I'm contemplating doing a mix of disposables and cloth diapers this time

2. The reason I can't commit to CD is because the initial cost. And I'm weary about the on the go convenience

3. No one really comments on using disposables and I haven't talked about cd's to anyone other then DH

4. We got a mix of huggies & pampers at Alexis' shower and we used both until they were gone then just decided which we liked better. Pampers are cut smaller and they didn't fit right on Alexis. We have tried the off brand diapers, usually Alexis will leak out so we end up back with huggies. I honestly think its different for each baby so I think we'll have to go through the trial period with all diapers again this go around.

1/ I was absolutely determined to use cloth, but ended up going with Pampers

2/ I found out I was having twins and didn't want the added pressure of all the extra washing

3/ My brother uses cloth when they're at home/local and disposables when they're travelling. They say the cloth diapers are great

4/ We tried a few brands during the first couple of weeks and Pampers worked best for us, they were the only ones that didn't give Caleb a rash

1) are you going with disposables or cloth diapers?

I used cloth diapers from 3 months until just over a year with my DD but we moved when she was 8 months old and got a HE washer and dryer and I was never able to figure out a method for washing them that did not require me to strip them like every other wash so it got to be too much, after getting really frustrating and spending too much money on trying to figure out if a different soap or whatever would work we decided it was too much and I put them away with the intention of taking them back out after she got a little easier and I was up to the washing, but it hasn't happened yet (and she is two!) We have been using disposables since then.

2) What made you decide to go that route?

I liked the environmental friendly aspect of them and also that it was more natural. I have also heard cloth diapered babies tend to potty train earlier since they can feel the wet against their skin more than with disposables.

3) How has the feedback from family/friends been?

No one cares. LOL. I have had some moms and family say it must be a lot of work doing cloth but no one really said more than "oh."

4) How are you deciding which brand of diapers to use?

We have been using Pampers with my DD for disposibles. They worked well at first so we never switched. I used bumgenius and fuzzibunz for cloth - I also did prefolds with thirsty covers for a while too! they all worked great but the fuzzibunz were my favorite. I am trying to figure out if we will try it again with baby number two or just try to sell my stash.

We went with disposables, I briefly thought about cloth diapers but DH veto that lol, plus G is on daycare 3 days a week so disposables are easier.

2) What made you decide to go that route?

It was the easier choice

3) How has the feedback from family/friends been?

Like Kristinkay - nobody really cares :)

4) How are you deciding which brand of diapers to use?

Right now we use Huggies Snug and Dry - those are the best that work for my lil guy but all babies are different!  We tried Pampers Baby Dry, Target, Luvs, Huggies Little Movers before we settled on the S&D :)

1) are you going with disposables or cloth diapers?

I can't speak from personal experience yet, but my SIL uses Seventh Generation disposables with my niece. We will definitely use disposable for convenience, but my mom used cloth with all of us.

2) What made you decide to go that route?

She said she liked that they were more natural and are chlorine free, which apparently she heard can cause cancer (like everything else). She said she would've considered cloth if she were able to stay at home, but it was too much work otherwise.

3) How has the feedback from family/friends been?

Some people thought she was overboard being so cautious, but she is that way across the board with eating organically, no fleece due to supposed increase in SIDS etc.

4) How are you deciding which brand of diapers to use?

I will also try Seventh Generation, but am open to other brands if those don't seem to work for us. I understand why my SIL feels if it is "better" to not expose her DD, then why not?

We are going to try cloth diapers.

2) What made you decide to go that route?

Both cost effectiveness and environmentally friendly.

3) How has the feedback from family/friends been?

Most people scrunch up their faces like they are going to puke.

4) How are you deciding which brand of diapers to use?

Because I don't want to invest in a whole bunch of cloth diapers and decide I don't like them we are going to do a trial run which costs between $10-$50.
