What was the wedding day menu?
Were thinking a chicken and pork dish. Not exactly sure what. Maybe a chicken Marsala and not sure about the pork yet. Suggestions?
We did "Hawaiian luau" menu. People loved loved loved the Khalua pork!
We had a mid-afternoon wedding and reception, so it was peach punch, our wedding cake (lemon with vanilla buttercream), the groom's cake (chocolate italian cream), nuts, and mints.
What do you all think of ceasar salad, chicken Marsala with red potatoes and mixed veggies, or a cedar plank teriyaki salmon with wild rice and mixed veggies? Does this sound balanced to you? We're going the sit down dinner route now because we're saving close to 400 doing it that way. And since we're doing an evening reception now we thought it would be classier.
I honestly don't remember what all we had. I know we had quite a few different salads, as well as my MIL's homemade vegetarian meatballs (my uncle said he couldn't tell the difference between them and the "real" meatballs he makes) . I think we also had mashed potatoes and some veggies, but other than that, I have no idea.
Kittywolf13 that salmon sounds DIVINE!!!
I'm glad you think so Fearce as several people have already commented to us "why salmon?" I don't get it. We're trying to be elegant without breaking the bank. Lol
I love fish! I made some this week (:
I'm not really a fish person and originally wanted a pork dish but we couldn't decide on anything that sounded good. We still have time to change our minds, but for now that's it. Lol
