DIY Online Photobooks - What's Your Favorite Site?

I made an 8x8 photobook of my boudoir photos using Shutterfly to give to my FI - I should receive it tomorrow and will post my review - I have high hopes! Putting it together was very easy and fun, and the digital proof looks great. But as I plan to make more books after the wedding for various family members, I'd love to know which sites you girls prefer - Shutterfly too, or another?

FYI, I checked out Blurb, but while the site is smarter than Shutterfly, I didn't like the samples very much at all. However, I really like that they have dustcovers!

I like shutterfly. I tried Blurb and MP but I never get to finish my book. Blurb and MP software kept crushing on me. I like shutterfly since I don't have to download a software.

I'm very please with the outcome. Of course the quality is not as good as the professional magazine style photobook.

This is the site I plan to use for my DIY wedding album. It's a little pricey, but I think the quality is very good.

I did quite a bit of research before and decided on MyPublisher. They have the largest book (11.5 x 15) and you can make your own cover etc. My books came out wonderful, great quality and great price.

I really like Picaboo.com. They recently upgraded their program. This upgrade resolved some of my past frustrations with them. They have tons, I mean tons of options for layouts, backgrounds, customizing cover, even photo adjusting/editing (minor). The product turns out great. I've made several through them as well as MyPublisher and Shutterfly. I prefer Picaboo for its creative possibilitites and easy to use program. Prices are comparable. Like others, look for coupons and discount codes.

I have to second the compliments with Picaboo. Even though I'm kind of loyal to Shutterfly, I really liked the bigger variety of layouts through Picaboo. I ordered two 80+ page photobooks for both of our parents as a thank-you gift and they all turned out beautiful. We also did a photobook guestbook that was only $13 total with their coupons.

I might go with either MyPublisher or Blurb for a book of our own, because I think I want the bigger book and I really like the dust jacket option from Blurb. But, we'll see.

This is good info! I haven't decided which company to use yet. I was all set on Blurb, but my friend said there were a mistakes (page numbers were wrong) and the colors didn't turn out very well. But then again, I'm not sure it's the company's fault...

I ordered one from mypublisher and one from shutterfly and I was happy with both. But I do like shutterfly a little more though (more backgrounds than MP and the paper is a little thicker)

My b-pic book arrived from Shutterfly! I'm giving it to my FI today for his birthday (since it's the week before the wedding and we aren't celebrating as much as we have in the past for his BD, I wanted to give him something special). I'm really happy with the quality, both of the printing and the binding. The paper quality is good too. I still wish I could have gotten a book jacket, but nonethless, I'm really pleased with Shutterfly!

Thanks, Blossom! I don't know how much your photog charges for albums, but my Shutterfly book was about 60 pages and the grand total was $70! I wanted to make my own book for two reasons: 1) I had a really specific style in mind (photography portfolio, very minimalist), and 2) I wanted to pick the photos and the order. Although photographers of course have a great eye for a good photo, if they don't know you, they can't pick the photos that are the most "you". In fact, the photo that I thought was most "me" was my FI's favorite! And I think it's nice to own your negatives - in fact, I think it's really uncool when photogs don't include them in their price. If you're not comfortable making your own book, do you have a friend with good taste who could help?

Snapfish is really great and you can DIY or it will fill the pages for you and prices are reasonable.

I recently made Photobooks of our e-photos with MP. It was super easy to use, I am supposed to get them tomorrow. I ordered them as mother's day gifts for the MOB-FMIL.

Here is a sample of what I created:

Hope the link works! :)
