DIY Photo slideshow/montage software

Hello!

If you made your own slideshow/video montage, what program/software did you use?

Thanks!

I've used PowerPoint before for a slideshow for my grandparents 50th anniversary party. It turned out pretty cute. There may be more sophisticated ones, but dunno. GOod luck!

I would suggest Moviemaker if you have it.  It's pretty simple to use.  However, if you'd like an even simpler option that's less time-consuming, check out Animoto.  All you have to do is upload the pictures you want, put them in the order you want to appear, and upload the song.  They will create a movie with various effects and the picture transitions and effects will go with the song.  The only issue is that the free version just does 30 seconds; the Plus package is $5 per month (or $30 per year), and you can make your video HD for $6.  However, if you're an educator, you can sign up with your work email and get a Plus membership for free!

Here is a video I did using Moviemaker; although it's strictly video for most of it, you can see what it can do:

And this one was made using Animoto; it's something I show my seniors before we study Shakespeare's Macbeth
