Do NOT order from White Dove Bridal - they have POOR quality veils and the WORST service

Whatever you do, do not order from White Dove Bridal.  They have the worst customer service. 


Some of you may remember that I ordered a defective veil from the company.  It was a one-layer elbow length veil, and the satin cord was sewn on the wrong side.  I called the company and spoke to one of the owners (I think) who told me that there is only one way to put on the veil and that if the satin cord was underneath the tulle when put on (which it was), then the manufacturer screwed up and they would refund me.


I thought that the customer service was great at this shop, so I followed all of the precise instructions to mail the veil back.  Now they received the veil and are telling me that the veil is not defective (even though they acknowledge that the tulle was not cut properly and stuck out from the satin cord).  And they refuse to refund my shipping charges to return the veil, complaining that I apparently used UPS instead of USPS.  If anyone knows anything about returning veils, if you don't follow the instructions to a T, they won't grant you a refund.  The return policy said that I had to return it by USPS OR UPS, so I chose UPS to be safe. 


The guy on the phone was completely ridiculous, saying that the extra tulle peeking out of the veil could have been snipped off easily using a pair of scissors, which begs the real question:  Why should I have to use a pair of scissors to snip off extra tulle from my veil?  What kind of ghetto veil is this? 


In any case, I told him I would recommend that no one ever order from them again - and he hung up on me.  Honestly, the worst company I have ever had to deal with.  Their veils are poor quality, and their customer service is just plain rude.  Don't patronize them.

not to put salt in the wound or anything but as you know i ordered two veils from veilshop and sent one back and i was refunded my money right away.


i think you said you found a great shop in manhattan though which is making you a lovely custom veil. so i'm happy that you found that.


sorry about those jerks at white dove bridal.

Oh I hate places like that. I had a similar experience with an online website calle nostalgic impressions. They were soooooo rude!

I'm so sorry you had to go through that.  I hate rude customer service almost more than I hate crying children in movies.  One thing I find that works, (as a last resort), if you are dealing with a vendor who just refuses to give you a refund is threatening to report them to the better business bureau.  Business owners try to avoid this at all cost and the very few times I've had to threaten this I received my money back.
