Truly, Madly, Deeply.  Or any country song or line dances, like Macarena, etc...

Any organized dance song (ie chicken dance, macarena, electric slide...the exception is the tootsie roll)..

NOOO BRITNEY SPEARS, but if someone gave me $200 during the money dance, I will allow the DJ to play it.

for us it's nothing Celine Dion and no "We are Family" & "Celebration"--no chicken dance or anything else either.

there's more, but that's all I can remember at the top of my head.

OMG I was at a wedding that played the Electric Slide this weekend and I was FORCED into trying it!  There were only like 6 other people on the dance floor, and they all knew what they were doing and I was such a klutz!  So NO choreographed dances like that at my wedding!  No way!  However, we WILL be playing "Who Let the Dogs Out" for my fiance's dad.  Apparently it's his favorite.  :)

First time I ever heard a DJ asking for a do-not-play list, great thing he does that! Make sure that the DJ has the right version of the songs you want to be played.

I was at a wedding and the couple LOVED Metallica as their opening song, but the DJ refused to play it, cause he thought it was inappropriate (omg). So he played another version of it, and the couple was so disappointed.

Yummy, that's funny!  I can't stand Britney Spears and will freak out if anyone requests her at my wedding!

Our time for bad songs is limited, as we're only having a DJ for the first hour or so and then switching it up to a live Greek band.

There is this song called "Rockin' the Beer Gut" by Trailer Choir, FI thinks it is absolutely hilarious but I can't stand it.

Lol, I was a little obsessive about it, but while some brides are most concerned with the food, flowers, etc., my biggest concern was music. It really sets the tone for your event, and can be the reason people do or don't dance and have fun - So I didn't want any crap played :) Luckily, our DJ was on board with all the choices, and he was a request Nazi too! I LOVED him!

Lol Meadow, its not the song, its the way my FMIL dances to it!!!!!!!!  LOL Gator - I'm really uptight about this too, like I'm terrified that someone will request something along the lines of "She F***ing Hates Me* or whatever that song is.... UGH!!!

"I'll be watching you" always creeps me out and it's on the DNP list. We also a few popular songs that are too sexual like Push It (one of my favorites but too embarassing to hear with the older relatives) and Brittany Spears new one (I should just ban all Brittany Spears...lol)
