Do you have a back up plan if the weather doesnt agree with you?????
If we go with the venue we're looking at now, our backup plan will be at the same place. It's a church camp, and they have both indoor and outdoor spaces that we could use.
at present, the only back up plan we have is to just have the ceremony at our reception location. however, if its just a little drizzle we'll just incorporate umbrellas. lol
Yes, it is why we choose the venue. Since it can rain in April, we can also have the ceremony inside.
The venue has a backup plan. However, I do not need one!
It will not rain on my wedding day.
CandRWedding: I hear ya -- lol!
Our venue has a backup -- in the same room that the reception will be held in. But rain in Carmel in July is supposedly very very rare. Overcast, yes. Rain, no.
*crossing my fingers until they cramp*
I sure hope several k in tent rentals constitutes a back-up plan. :P
I like rain, especially warm rain. I wouldn't have been fussed by foul weather. Everyone else thought I was insane and ordered the tents.
Our venue has a back-up plan which is partly why we chose it. If it rains, we'll get married in their main room in front of the gorgeous fireplace or in the greenhouse depending on how many guests RSVP.
It's unlikely that it will rain but anything's possible.
YES! our venue has a building with a lot of indoor space. it's used as a "stage" for talent shows in the summer. it will be perfect, the backdrop is a fireplace :) but we're sure it's going to be a beautiful day!
No... Come rain or shine :)
I wanted to be married outside... Not closed in under a tent....
There is things that are called UMBRELLAS :) :) :) :) :) :)
*giggles* I'm with you Misshammy!
The tents are for the outdoor reception. Our outdoor CEREMONY is taking place at a gorgeous stone ampitheatre/fountain and umbrellas are, I am happy to say, the ONLY backup up plan for that portion. :D
I def. have plans for a cute parasol/umbrella. ^_^
ps- My dad thought I was INSANE for wanting to get married outside...he was really confused...like, "why aren't you having it in a church? Churches are nice!" He was ok once I explained it would be a religious ceremony, just not inside a building hehe, but I think he still doesn't really understand why we want outside.
Ditto, Lillivati!!! :)
Our families think we're nuts that we aren't having a backup plan... We said that we don't care if our guests view the wedding from the inside, or don't show up at all.. BUT, we know that the bride (muah, duh!) and the groom will be married outside with our officiant :)
I definitely hope it doesn't "pour".. But.. :)
If it rains we will just have it in the barn were we are having the reception.
misshammy & Lilivati!!! I am right there with you gals!! Its guna happen! lol No back up, rain or shine! haha
rain is a sign of goodluck! if it so happens to pour...I have tents!
We're getting married at the cutest little chapel and if it rains I TOTALLY wouldn't mind if it rained because even the inside is so cute!
Just so everyone knows, the carpets are NOT pink, they are more brown, this is just a lower quality picture that makes it look pink.
Yes, our location has a backup but it's not great.
We'll be getting married right outside our reception hall so if it rains they'll just move it inside and people will sit at their tables. There are large windows all around the hall that give a view of the vineyard so I guess it wouldn't be too bad. The good thing about it is since the inside will already be setup I can wait up until right before the wedding to make the decision to move it inside.
Only planning to do ceremony and reception hour outside, as the banquet is at a restaurant. If it rains, we're moving inside to our living room :-X
We are getting married on a boat, which a good portion of it is inside, but the only place to really have a dance floor is outside, so no it is not going to rain!! LOL, we live in WNY, so there is no way to know.
