are you looking for inspiration on colors, decor and such or are you wanting venue ideas?

for colors... i think of red, green, black, eggplant, navy blue...typical winter colors for clothes.

for winter the easy thought is snow...which would be harder for florida.  but plaid is also a thought.  small amounts of plaid could be incorporated and just use the richer colors of winter.  or go all out and have a ton of plaid.

if roses are out of budget...think carnations in mass.  tons of red carnations in mass look beautiful.  i dont know how much navy and black you plan to use, but navy, red, and white will make people think nautical.  if that is your plan, then go for it.  i am trying to find some kids stuff for you too.

black, red, and white washi tape from etsy.  you could put some around glass candle holders to add a touch of plaid.

have a basic color linen on the tables like black.  your centerpiece which could be all red.  the candles on the table would be in glass holders and add the washi tape.  then for the sweetheart table buy a throw blanket and have it as an overlay for your basic black linen.  you could do the same thing for the cake table.  that would give you a subtel winter look.

if there is an after party lounge area...

the mixture of plaid pillows and sweater pillows will also give a winter look. and if you chose to have a sweater look for the wedding cake it would tie into that well.

this could be a solid color or a plaid ribbon

this could be either painted onto the cake or be ribbon like what you see here.

this could be black ribbon on the bottom and red flowers flowing down.

this may be a good idea since you have a ton of kids coming, plan to have some cupcake made for them.  they wouldnt have to look this fancy.  i would find out from the baker if a cake big enough to feed all your guests would be cheaper than making a cake for the adults and cupcakes for the kids.
