I can't remember if I've posted this, but it can't hurt to post it again!
So, I was flipping through a former co-worker's mobile upload album on Facebook a few months back as I was interested in some necklaces she was selling; I was being nosy, and I found THIS!
No, your eyes do not deceive you--that is a dozen roses...made of BACON!!!!! I mean, seriously?! Now, I know that bacon is hot right now (for whatever reason, I'm not sure, other than it tastes nummy), and it may end up going away like most fads (but coming back again). But if there's at least one thing I know about DH, it's that he LOVES his bacon. I mean, I could be cooking bacon on the stove or wrapping it on a meatloaf or pork tenderloin, and he gets that guttural, moaning sound in his throat that signifies an overload of pleasure--I think almost every man does it (or every man has an equivalent reaction). So I saw this, and I was like, "YES, must do this for DH!!!" And the best thing about it--it looks so friggin' easy! Here's what I can gather from going off of photos.
Step 1: Get some bacon...some really good tasting bacon. And make it thick cut--maybe it's for a better shape, maybe it's because you want as much bacon-y goodness as possible.
Step 2: Get a muffin tin; it looks like she used one of the mini-muffin tins, which makes sense because it looks like the bacon needs to be rolled tightly.
Step 3: Roll up a slice of bacon and place it in the muffin tin. I don't think you'd need to spray the cups because of the fat in the bacon.
Step 4: Bake it! Now, I'm not sure what temp or how long. Some like baking bacon low and slower, some like to bake it fast. Definitely go with your preference and Google or Pinterest it. When they're done, set the bacon on some paper towels to drain.
Step 5: Dress it up! Stick skewers in the bacon to serve as the stems and then display them how you want!
