Doesn't this always happen? "Sigh"

Doesn't this always happen when you purchase an item or something totally different, it goes ON SALE???? I was perusing David's Bridal website for something totally different and came across the dress I originally had my heart set on for, get this, $399! When I originally went to try the dress on, it was $599 and then when I went to purchase,  it was over a thousand dollars because it was a very popular style. I remember sitting in there crying and realized the dress really does matter! I ended up finding a new love, my wedding dress, on sale for $369.00. Not upset about the choice I made at all, but just thought I would share because DOESN'T SOMETHING ALWAYS GO ON SALE? LOL. Hmm. . .Maybe I should purchase and me and DH should do it all over again!

The dress I originally going to purchase that is on sale for $399.00

Elle the first dress is really figure flattering and I felt so darn "bridey" lol. It is NOTHING I would have ever chosen and it was my first try on and I fell head over heels in love with it! Ugh about the MOH dresses. Lol. Never fails, always happens!

Oh gosh darnit Tiffany! If only you would have waited. Yeah right! Lol.

Kelly that is so funny and great advice! Okay the only reason I saw my original dress on sale is because I went on David's Bridal looking for the dress I found to do my 500 wedding ensemble and it was on the first page. Drats!

Sorry for you, but so happy that it's not just me that this happens to!!

I've lost count of how many things I've bought recently that have gone on sale straight after

Tressy- I felt the same way I ended up choosing something completely different.

Kelly- I did the same thing! I was looking online when we were looking at wedding bands. So I went to look at my E-ring. In this case it was actually more expensive! It has gone up more than $300 since we bought it.

I'm on the other side - but with TONS of luck. I searched the web for dresses I love and came across the Pronovias Malaga of 2010. We got engaged in July 2010 and in Oct. the bridal shops get the new collections. I called several bridal stores in the vicinity and only one store had this dress (and only this sells Pronovias) in size 36 (german size) - how perfect I thought (I'm a 36/38 bride) so directly made an appt on 30th Sept. When I came in they also told me all 2010th dresses are only half price because they were in the progress of renovating the showrooms so they need space. So I got my dream dress - which already fit's great (a bit to tall and wide) for 1,300 $ instead of 2,600 $ - I was over the moon and sooo happy.

But Tressy it's sad you didn't got this dress but you looked so so beautiful in your new dress on your wedding day!! Sometimes we didn't get the DEAL :(
But ditto Kelly - do not look after your wedding or after buying your dress. After I bought mine I looked at so many other beautiful gowns which I also loves so much and def for a better price *lol*

@She1 - Thanks so much!

@Elise - Totally agree with Kelly but I swear I wasn't even looking for the dress! I was looking for the dress for my 500 ensemble post!

@Kathryn - I swear I wasn't even looking! I went on the site to look at a dress for the $500 dollar ensemble post I created and the dress I originally wanted was on the first page so that is the only reason I saw it. Lol. I loved my dress, but not initially until I got the sash added and I was very skeptical about the neckline because I am so top heavy. You great an awesome deal on your dress! I am doing a photo shoot for our first anniversary and why am I thinking maybe I should get that dress???? Lol.

ALWAYS! I do have to say that while both dresses looked GREAT on you (seriously, wow!), I LOVE "your dress" on you. Perfection.

And ditto Kelly (kplusd): I did the same thing with DH's band shortly after the wedding and it was nearly half off. Why why why? Don't they know every penny counts when you're planning the wedding?! LOL

Firstly the heart shaped front looks much better on you! The way I look at is this. . . If It is meant to be it would be.

I got married almost 20 years ago and went in to get a PEACH wedding dress. The girl at the counter thought I was crazy, but believe it or not she had a Peach wedding dress that was hidden in the back for 2+ years. I got the dress for $50 It was satin and lace tea length in front and small train in back. She was also shocked that it needed zero alterations and was a size 14.

That is why I say thr right dress is the dress that you can afford at the moment you want to buy it. I have seen girls spend thousands and end up hating the dress the day of the wedding. I have been the MOH for 4 weddings now and bridesmaid for 3 and flower girl for 2.

I also know the ones who worry too much about what if this or that also end up divorced right quickly. The girl I am referring to went and rebought that OTHER dress to wear for her big day and divorced less than a year later because she what IF'ed everything about that day. She is now on marriage number 3.

I just let things happen and did not fret over my flowers or the food or the fact that they switched my fondant cake to butter creme. I just let things happen and that is the way he and I have lived too. We just roll with it and try not to plan too much and what we do plan is a sketch.

Enjoy the dress you bought. You look beautiful in it!
