doing your own make up?

Just wondering if anyone did their own make up or is doing their own make up?

I went to have my make up done at the Bobbi Brown counter and they taught me some things that I can do really well, and I think I will know best what I want.

I know that I need to do more than the usual and that my make up needs to be set properly and all that..

I'm having a destination wedding and I don't know if I'll be able to find a make up artist that I'll trust.

Thoughts?

thank you

If you're confident in it, then give it a shot!  Do a few trial runs, have someone take pics of you so you can see how it translates on camera, and if your wedding is outdoors, spend some time outside/in the sun, and take more pics, so you can see how it'll weather.

Try to do this a few times, so you can make adjustments if necessary, and so you're comfortable with the techniques.

Ditto what neebelung said, if you're confident in doing it yourself, then by all means. I don't wear makeup every day and I was finding it next to impossible to find a makeup artist who would do my makeup and have it turn out still looking like me. In the end, I learned some techniques from a couple of pros and ended up doing my own. I did wear everything a little thicker than normal so I looked more awake in the photos and I added a few false eyelashes. Otherwise it went well. I even hid the tinted lip gloss I was using in my bouquet so I could reapply it throughout the day

Good luck!

Well i believe beauty comes with simplicity. So I can do my own makeup, a little eyeliner some blush and a light color lip gloss and that all.
