DRAMA for yo mama. HELP!

I TRIED to cut this short but it aint workin.. so sorry. if u read this.. thanks.. if u don't.. UNDERSTANDABLE cuz its long!
xox

I have an older sister (always felt like she was younger). anyhow. she's bi.. so am I. hahaa just don't wana confuse anyone.

throught out the last 6 years.. she's been in different relationships. everytime she "got tired or sick" and broke up with her significant other she'd run back to me.. hang out with my friends.. then end up hooking up with one of them (girl or guy).. one time she actually decided to hook up with a guy I was dating. I didn't talk to her for Months.

so she got married last year to her girl friend. now she's again sick of her.. runnin back to me and tryna hang out and hook up AGAIN with yet one of my friends (a guy). me and her have been bumping heads like CRAZY the past 6 years. jus about 20mins ago me and her got into a heated argument (over how she is.. hookin up with my friends.. lying to my parents about still being with her girl.. etc)

ok my point is.. she's one of my bridesmaids. (last year wen she got married she asked me to be her MOH then started talking to her ex best friend which she had been fighting with for about 2 or 3 years and decided to "bump" me down and make her MOH and me a BM)
my question is.. what do I do.. keep her as my BM even though were fighting like crazy.. or let her go.. eat the cost of the dress.. and have and un even bridal party. UGH. I'm so confused right now. am I being too harsh? maybe I should just suck it up. iduno. =/

I am so sorry! It's probably for the best that she just stepped down. I am sure it will all work out with her, but you don't need to be dealing with all this at your wedding. I hope you feel better!

I'm so sorry you are going through this with your sis! You just sort of have to look at it as she did you a favor. You don't have to stress over if she should be in the wedding bc she made the decision for you. I'm not sure what your relationship is like (apart from these issues) but maybe she'll change her mind? It sounds like you were both pretty heated...

I dont know about anyone else but planning a wedding brings out the worst in some people and makes you really see who loves you, who truly cares about you and who may not. At this point I was talking today about not even having a bridal party so we cant eliminate cost and drama!! You will be sad and then mad then relieved to know she saved you some face by doing it herself. Now you know where your relationship stands and just focus on the other people in your party to bring HAPPY memories... Keep your head up girl :) Seems like she wants what you have..

thanks ladies. sorry for that legend of a story.. and yes you are all probably right that it was best that she stepped down. it made things complicated but a bit easier in another sense.

chrissy -maybe u can just have two main people for a bridal party.. JUST MOH & Bestman.. :) just another option lol but if not.. no bridal party is fine too!

lili- I know she won't change her mind. we've had a rough relationship all our lives. oh well. boohoo me. I just need to get over it.

but yea I just went in right now to the bridal shop.. paid off and picked up her dress.

I guess the only good news for today is... my dress will be in next week.

..horray? =/

You can always sell it on ebay and re coup some lost funds, go get a stiff drink for yourself and a cute new outfit...Maybe you would be helping out some poor soul who just may need that dress. LOLLOL As for just having the MOH and Best man, those are the two ungrateful people that are making us not want to have a BP!!! My sister just got divorced because she had an affair and is misreable and only cares about her self right now and his brother is never around hardly calls anymore Blah Blah Blah, but they both had us so I guess we just have to bite our tongues right and go with it?? We love the rest of the BP though..

I hope it works out for u.. as well as for myself. as for the dress.. either ill sell it.. or find another good friend that would actally want to be a part of our big day! =)

geez. sorry cjd and chrissy. i guess we can't pick our family huh? that's why we really have to surround ourselves with people who are truly happy for us and support us. i'm glad to know i'm not the only one with drama. and for sure...weddings bring it out!! i have a hard time talking to my MOH (my sis) about any wedding drama b/c she's like 'at least our parents will acknowledge your wedding' (she's in a same-sex relationship too...). that's what PW is for right?

CJD- i think that even though your sis removed herself from the party and the problem seems solved...i would attempt to go back and at least speak at a time that's less heated. it'll be hard but maybe it'll help resolve some of your feelings. it most likely won't do anything to "fix" the relationship as that has been years in the proces.. but i think you have every right to try and sort out your feelings with her, whether she hears it or not. IMO

sorry to hear girls! every family has drama and this is proof of it right? this is very sad that she's removed herself from the party. i would just hold on to that dress. you never know if you two reconcile in time for your big day. your sister obviously has major issues and just like we have trouble dealing with it or accepting her for who she is, imagine how hard it is for her to deal w/ her own self? people like that aren't necessarily the happiest or most fullfilled people in the world so i always have a bit of empathy/sympathy for them and hope that they figure things out for their own happiness. good luck chica!
