Dress Appointment?

So I have found a dress online that I want, but I have not tried on any dresses so I don't know if the style would be right for my body. Therefore, I am going to Davids Bridal to try on similarly styled dresses to see it the fit is right. It was suggested through an online source that for places like Davids Bridal (which was specifically named) you should just go in without an appointment and try on dresses. However, Davids Bridal says (I called them) that I have to have an appointment to try on the wedding dresses. It's not a big deal to make an appointment, but do I really need one? Anyone been there (DB) and know what the situation is?

I was thinking about next Tuesday or Wednesday. Do you have a suggestion for time? I was thinking around 10am. I don't want to go when it's really busy.

I did it both ways.  I went during the week and got to try things on right away.  My MOH did all the work helping me.

I also went on a weekend with my mom and made an appt.  They had a lady there to help me.  I'd recommend not having a lady there to help at that place though!  Just my thoughts.

Have fun!!

I tried to go to DB last week without an appointment and the girl there said I wasn't allowed to look through the dresses or try anything on without a consultant there to help me.  I ended up making an appointment for a few days later during lunchtime and was able to try on about 4 dresses. Good luck!

10am on a weekday is definitely better than the weekend. That place can get crazy. Can someone recommend a good consultant for you? I've heard of horror stories with their consultants. I've had one myself and it wasn't pleasant. The lady wouldn't let me try dresses on unless it was my size!

See that's what I heard, that the consultants are kinda mean and are either all over you or want nothing to do with you. When I called to get info (like can I bring in a dress number and such) the lady kept trying to get off the phone with me and was really rude. But I am going to go anyways. And unfortunately I do not have a consultant recommendation. I am going to the one in the valley.
