What are your thoughts? What would you prefer to have? What are you planning?
Yes I would prefer to have one to shorten this guest list down. My mom and I have never really traveled and that would have been a great opportunity to have a family vacation, wedding and honeymoon in one.
We really want our family and friends to make it. If we had a DW I for sure my sister, husband and 2 kids wldnt make it, also my firneds who have kids coulnt either. We are going with a hometown on a long weekend.
DW all the way we are getting married in Puerto Rico July 16, 2011.
DW. We are getting married in Jamaica for 2011
DW for me too! Trinidad on 1/15/11.
DW for us! Still waiting on a decision, though...It was always FI's dream to get married on a beach.
We're staying close to home... we want family to be there and we both have rather large ones. His family definitely does not have the money to travel, and our wedding budget is very modest. The idea of a DW kind of freaks me out---it's hard enough being 1.5 hours from my wedding location, I can't imagine if I was planning it so far away that I would never see it before arriving for the wedding!
We are having a DW in Maui! I can't wait! I originally pictured it being much smaller than it has become but it will be gorgeous and perfect even with a few more people than we had planned.
i would prefer to have a DW ! but as what is expected is to do something more traditional and have a big wedding... so we are not sure but we may break the rules and just go with DW!!! ;D
I'm having a Hometown Wedding in Toronto, CA but I would love to have a Destination Wedding.
We would love to have a DW wedding, but would want our parents and siblings to attend as well, however, not everyone are financially able to join us, so we have decided to stay close to home and have a traditional outdoor wedding instead. That way everyone will be able to attend!
A DW would be much easier but we are having a hometown wedding. It is a little more difficult for us beacause the FI and I live in Spokane, WA while going to school, but planning the wedding in our hometown of Boise, ID. It is hard to plan while being over 7 hours away.
hometown for us- we wanted too many people to be there for a DW to be feasible. It's all about what you want for your wedding!
We were going to have a DW wedding but no one can afford to go
A lot of people have lost their jobs , so we are having a home wedding in
Mu parents are paying for half. To bad we really wanted a DW.
But we did not want to leave out everyone. So we are compromising
To make everyone happy. But we could use the extra 10,000.00 as a down for a house.
But my mom wants the wedding as I am her only daughter and the baby.
Well, we are doing both…we had our own DW ceremony (just the 2 of us though) and our big day will be next year with our fam and closest friends.
Hometown :) The more the merrier!
P.S. or should I say "marrier" hardy har har d-:
DW would be so beautiful then have a reception for everyone later :D
We're not exactly having a destination wedding, but we're having it at home either. We live in the California Central Valley, but we're having our wedding in Souther Oregon. FI's mother and family live there and the setting is so beautiful there. It helps us to cut back on costs too because it's cheaper and less people will likely be able to make the trip up there.
