engagement ring + wedding band?

My wedding band is SUPPOSED to fit right up against my engagement ring and when they're both in the ringbox they do fit together, but when they're on my finger they come apart.  I haven't decided whether or not I want to get them soldered together... in the meantime, is there something I can do to keep them together?  I thought I read somewhere about a little metal clip that would keep them from coming apart but I don't know what they're called or where to find them.

Suggestions, please?  :)

Are they both properly sized? It might be worth having them checked out by a jeweler. Otherwise I've heard ring gaurds. I think your best bet is stopping by a jeweler.

Hmm, I've actually never heard of that! lol. A jeweler would definitely be your best bet. I got mine saudered together, and I absolutely love it!

Mine were a bridal set so they sit right by each other. And I never heard of that either!

I plan on checking with the jeweler who made both rings (the same jeweler who made my in-law's wedding rings 35 years ago) but she's in Chicago (I'm in Maryland) and I don't really want to send the rings away so I'm going to wait until we go there for a visit over the summer.  I was just trying to think of a temporary solution in the meantime.  Both rings fit me fine, I guess when they're both on my finger they sit differently than they do in the ring box.

I've never tried it, but maybe try some liquid ring guard. It's fairly inexpensive and is designed to make rings that are too big fit without slipping, but I bet you could use a little of it to hold your rings together. And it's designed to peel off when you're ready to remove it. I've never used it, though, so maybe do some research to make sure it's safe.

I Googled and found a few places to buy it. Here's one Etsy seller that has it: http://www.etsy.com/listing/23848815/liquid-ring-guard-for-the-do-it

I guess what I mean is that when the rings fit together at the top, there's a gap at the bottom (between the bands) - but if I put the bands together, it doesn't fit exactly right at the top.

I guess what I photo 3457397-1

huh, weird! I actually haven't been wearing mine together yet because I need to get the resized to fit. Maybe with our tax refund! (Fingers crossed) :) They look kinda like mine, a little tight, maybe talk to the jewler about if resizing would help? Good luck!

yeah, I'm going to talk to the jeweler about it when I see her again but that won't be until over the summer.  they're not too loose or too tight, they both fit just right so I don't know if it has something to do with the way it was made or what... figured it was worth a shot to see if anyone else had the same problem and/or how they handled it.

thanks everyone for your input  :)

Thanks for picture! That makes more sense hehehe. But yea, I know what you mean, and I dunno why it's like that...As long as it doesn't bother you too much, nbd. Keep us updated later on when you end up seeing the jeweler!
