Experienced B-pic women!

Question- is it better to just get the disk of pics to make an album on blurb, mypublisher... OR should i pay the extra money for the prints too? What did you do??

my prints came with my package but i'm doing a book too.  i'm framing the 8x10s for our bedroom.

i wouldn't have paid more for the prints if it wasn't included.

Ditto what Kristeen said. Prints came with my package, along with the disks and a small album. But I went ahead and made a book thru Blurb because I wanted to pick the photos that I thought DH would like and add a few love notes.

I wouldn't have paid more to get prints. If you have them on CD or DVD, you can have prints made through someone else for a lot less. i.e. Shutterfly, Flickr, Snapfish, etc.

Good luck!

I just got a CD of my images to do what I want with- so I made him a custom card and an album- and now he has them for his computer etc. too haha this could be trouble!  I don't need actual prints- bnot sure what I would need them for?

Depends on what you have in mind. I'm getting the cd to make the book and to make a few prints. We're going to Ira next year so he can have a print to put in his helmet and one for his locker. If you have the CD you can make prints off the cd.....

From my experience...it's all in the photographer's skill.  If the photographer is really and truly an artist, the images on a disc should be beautiful enough with basic editing to put into a book/album.  If the photographer is not as skilled, it may take more advanced editing to get the images just right.

With that said, I opted for the package with the disc of images and no album.  The images were beautiful as they were on the disc.  All I added was a little "soft glow/soft filter" to make them a look a little dreamy.  Plus, I like have the disc for later...in case I want to make other prints or some other random project with them.

I got all 3 :) The disk was really cool b/c they did it as a slide show of ALL the pics we took, but they also had this magazine option as an album which I thought was AWESOME, so the favorites went in there. Then I got creative and made a shutterfly album of all the faves and 2nd faves for him too,.
