Failed my 1 hr glucose, ugh!

Ugh, I'm a terrible baby carrier.  I failed my glucose test without being overweight or high risk for it.  My doctor asked my diet and hubby was only too happy to tell him how much carbs and sugar I eat, so I got a verbal lashing and a 3 hr test to schedule...boo!  So now my marine corps husband is changing my diet completely - he went to the store after the appointment and got me health snack options (very sweet) and then came into my work and raided my cubical for all of my sweet snacks (noooooo!).

This pregnancy just got a lot harder...All I crave is carbs and sugars!  OK sorry, pity party is now concluded.

I failed my 1hr too, but my 3hr was fine. All I wanted was sugar at the end of my pregnancy - I ate 12 Krispy Kreme in one weekend!!

It is tough trying to ignore your cravings, luckily my worst one was for milk so I didnt need to worry, but it will all be worth it once bubba arrives.....and then you can reward your good behaviour with anything you want (and lots of it!!) xxx

I'm afraid of failing mine as well : ( My father, and my maternal grandfather both have diabetes, so I'm at a higher risk for it during my pregnancy. I'm one of the lucky ones that has to take the  1hr glucose test twice throughout my pregnancy!

I hope you pass the 3hr one! Sending good thoughts your way!! : )

Good luck with your husband. When you pass your 3 hour test make him replenish your junk drawer :)

I had gestational diabetes last pregnancy. I passed my fasting sugar at the beginning of this pregnancy and am scheduled to do the 1 hour in 3.5 weeks.

All in all GD is not the end of the world, I barely even remember anything about having GD, so it couldn't have been that traumatizing.

I failed mine too but passed the 3 hour test, which is a better indicator if you will be prone to GD.  FX that you pass that one!
