I don't know for sure yet since I've never had to shop at one before! Lol! Well, when my friend was pregnant with her first son, I went to Motherhood with her to get some things and they had some nice things! I will probably look there for myself and I've heard Old Navy Maternity is good too. I will look up your place and see what kind of things they have. Stylish would be good. Goodness knows there will probably be a point where I feel "frumpy" and want to look extra beautiful!

I'm with Deneen :) I've been into Motherhood and Pea in a Pod with friends and they seemed really nice but I wasn't looking at stuff with the same "eyes" that I have now.
My MIL just sent me a maternity cardigan and a tunic as an early birthday gift and although they don't fit yet they are really pretty in the box. I hope they look good on once I have a bump! They are from a company called Noppies? Some of the writing on the packaging looks like it might be Dutch or something like that.
Hopefully some others will pipe in as I'm sure I will refer to this thread in a couple of months (maybe weeks!)

:)

Old Navy definitely has some good maternity clothes at reasonable prices.

Unfortunately here in Canada, we have slim pickings! My fave is a place called Thyme Maternity, but it can be really over priced.
My advice for shopping is, buy a few good essential pieces that you are able to mix and match with, and then some cheaper items that can be coordiated as well.

I also found that buying some cheap t-shirts, long sleeves, etc. in larger sizes when they were on sale at Old Navy, definitely helped!  It's nice that some stuff comes in longer lengths now that can work for maternity.

I've bought 3 pairs of jeans, 2 pairs of dress pants and 2 tops at Motherhood Maternity.  They are a little pricy but the clothes seems to be of good quality, so if they last all through my pregnancy then it's worth it.  I've also hit the Kohl's clearance racks and found some tops and a dress.

I'm not the type who buys clothes online, simply because I like to feel the fabric and try stuff on...

Motherhood Maternity is my fave so far.  I've bought 2 jeans and 2 dress pairs (buy 1, get 1 50% off).  I love that their pants come in Petite length.

I love Motherhood but man I drop way to much $$ going there!  I have to buy my pants long so my options are slim :(

JC Penney's has a decent selection of tops that are cheap, Target is ok - kind of expensive for Target.  My Old Navy stop carrying maternity and their sizing is so weird I'm afraid to buy online.

I lucked out, a friend of ours gave me some of her maternity pants after she had her last one.  Maybe she gave me some good luck since I'm going to be needing them now.

I've heard Etsy has some cute stuff too.

I got 95% of my clothes from Motherhood/Pea in the pod with my first pregnancy (I'm wearing a shirt from my first pregnancy right now actually!). The quality is okay, but ALL the money I spent, I expected these clothes to last forever. A shirt that I spent $50 on has a hole in the boob area. Some others look awful. But maybe I'm expecting too much. They did make it almost all the way through 41 weeks!

This time around, I bought some pants and shirts at Old Navy so far (2 of each). One of my shirts SUCKS! The sizing is terrible. They are both meds but one feels like a 5x (guess I should have tried it on.  :/
So I'm going to a local place called Pickles n Ice Cream today! It's actually owned by my OB! Can you say, discount?

Pam, that is so cute, Pickles n Ice Cream!! I love it.  I forgot about Pea in the Pod. I should see if there's one around me for when it's time. I already know that Old Navy is about 30 min away and Motherhood probably is too. I'll have to check. I was surprised to see that Boscov which I can walk to, carries some Motherhood items. It is a small section but had a surprisingly fair amount of things. I would definitely still need to go to the stand alone store, but it's a start.

Word of caution to all of the taller girls: Don't dry your maternity clothes. A cute top will end up not covering your belly by 8 months. I'm 5'9, and I had the hardest time finding both pants and tops that were long enough anyway. It's a real PITA, but I hung all of my clothes on a drying rack.

LOL! I know, I love the name Pickles 'n Ice Cream. Super cleaver. But OMG I went in there yesterday! It's a gorgeous little boutique but WOW! The prices! I was like, yeah, thanks but no thanks. I got a dress that was on the clearance rack. It was SUPER cute but it was $69. Which was half price. OUCH! So yeah, I'll be sticking to target and old navy.
