What's your favorite wine?
If you don't drink wine, what's your favorite drink?
Sancerre - it's a French white. It has a slight hint of melon....so good. Unfortunately I very rarely drink it anymore because I was used to buying cases of it super cheap on booze runs from England to France and now I can only get it for around $20 a bottle!! Ergh!
I settle for a decent Pinot Grigio instead - although I probably drink more beer than anything now
Not a fair question for someone who grew up in wine country in northern CA.
My favorite is a V Sattui- Gamay Rouge. You can't buy this in any store you have to get it at the winery.
@Canooknic I too have been on a beer kick lately I love a Blue Moon with a slice of orange. Yum!!
I still need to try the wine that Sting (yep, the lovely singer!) has released.
I think it's called 'When We Dance' - which totally suckered me in because that's probably my favourite song by him!!!
I also found out last night that my brother's friend's GF has her own wine now - she went in with a few friends and bought a winery in British Columbia....so now I need to try that too!!! Such a tough life I lead...making up reasons to drink wine!! Lol
Yes, this is a tough question. I seem to favor the Italian and Spanish Reds. Travicello is my absolute favorite but I love Pinot and Friends...which they don't sell anymore :( and I also love Bor Forras, a Cabernet from Hungary. I prefer my wine on the sweeter side so all of these are a little on the sweet side but not too sweet in my opinion. These are just a few of my favorites.
I love wine =)
Haha! I didn't mean to restrict anyone! Feel free to list lots of your favorites if you want! :)
Eagle Eye and Beringer Cabernets (Can't beat when Beringer bottle goes on sale for $5!)
Also a fan of 7 Deadly Zins and Earthquake Zin from Michael David Winery.
I'm not too picky though!! ;)
another inexpensive wine is barefoot sweet red is good and I always love my two buck chuck.(trader joe's)
I'm so jealous that you US ladies get cheap wine!!! It's so expensive up here - a bottle that I used to buy for $4.50 (£ equivalent) is $15.99 here!!! I used to use it as my cooking wine (and couldn't let the rest of the bottle go to waste obviously!)
I would prob cut back my drinking if cheap wine was that expensive! Lol!
What I wouldnt do for a BIG glass of wine right now! 4 months to go!
I'm just a fan of wine in general :) I used to prefer white over red but I think I'm going the other way now. I'm not sure I have a favorite label, I really like to try new stuff all the time and DH and I love to randomly stop at little wineries we pass when on road trips.
But...I do have a soft spot for anything from the B.R. Cohn Winery because Bruce Cohn is the manager of my favorite band of all time, the Doobie Brothers, and he makes a limited run of 'Doobie Red' lol.
I'm more of a white wine person as well but I do drink Red wine on occassion.
