Favors

Has anyone come up with interesting favors?  So I was thinking of doing mini wines then possibly chocolate in cute boxes but my coordinator is telling me bc its an outdoor wedding it wouldnt be advisable to have wine sitting out in the hot sun or even chocolate.  Does anyone have any suggestions?  Right now I"m just thinking of getting specialty almonds and putting them in cute boxes?!  Any suggestions?

rkrupan, I just checked out your bio and you have some amazing ideas... I loved all of them.  As for your favors, what if you still went with the mini-wine bottles, but set them on a table in the shade?  With those personalized labels you could put each guest's name and table # so they could couple as an escort card.  I'm doing this with mini-olive oil bottles, but I love your wine idea, especially since you are at a winery!!!

I'm going to make strawberry jam (or some other kind of berry jam).  We've also thought about canned peaches, or even home brewed beer!

I love the wine idea! Fancy wine stoppers would also make a nice favour.

I am having a beach wedding and a very laid back bbq in the park type reception, so i was planning on making each family a picnic blanket.

Those are ALL great ideas!  We donated $$$ to the Susan G Komen Breast Cancer Foundation in honor of my mom and other family members who have had breast cancer.  We put little pink ribbon sugar cookies at each seat at the reception with a little tag explaining our donation.  :)

We're doing a s'mores station because we're getting married at a camp.  We may do something like this at each setting, but I haven't decided for sure:

we did small bottles of wine.  they were straight from the vineyard we got married at.

it was a special touch and i get a text or a phonecall still (i was married in september) from our friends and family letting us know they are popping open their special bottle and thinking of us.  it was perfect :)

We haven't decided yet but these are our top runners:

We haven t decided photo 1526095-1

Plantable bookmarks- the paper has flower seeds in them and the bookmarks (postcards are also available) are also personalized at the bottom with our names and wedding date. From TheKnot.com, approx $1 each

We haven t decided photo 1526095-2

There are plents of websites to choose from! You can get just the seedling with an option of many different kinds of trees starting at $1.50 each!

I really like these too! Seed packets and you get to design the colors and picture on your packets along with your names and wedding date. These are from AmericanBridal.com and they have a few different styles to choose from. They are $1.18-$1.66 a pack depending on how many you order. I even found a website offering them at about 25 cents each, but they never sent me the sample pack I requested, grrr!

Anyone want to help me pick which one?!!

We have small organza bags that we're filling with personalized chocolate kisses and we're also making cds that have songs from our wedding and some personal favorites on them.  We might also get personalized shot glasses or can koozies, but we haven't decided yet.  Our ideas are all pretty simple, I guess!

If you go with the jordan almonds (or some variation of almond) you can make these flowers.  They are pretty easy to make.... and I think just absolutely adorable!.

There are diff styles and colors and other ways to make 'em (with ribbon, or lace, etc):

i am a practical person.  i have a very short guest list, and since everyone attending is a close friend or family member the gifts are important.  i am having a small silver frame with an engagement photo inside.  havent decided yet, but it may be a magnet.

We did little personalized shot glasses. What if you did wine glasses? That would fit with the winery venue.
