February Flowers ??

Hi Ladies = )

I have not set my date yet but I do know I would like either Fall (Late September, Early October) OR Winter (Late January, early February).

For the brides or brides to be that have chosen Late January/February to get married, was the cost of your flowers a little above average due to Valentines Day?

Thanks!

i have heard that yes indeedy, if your wedding is around valentines day then your flowers will cost a pretty penny! it only makes sense, supply and demand! the higher the demand, the less the supply therefore the cost will be higher. have you considered maybe planting some plants that produce beautiful flowers? maybe birds of paradise or hydrengea?

I am getting married on Valentines Day and we also thought that flowers were going to be way way over our budget. We went to a couple florist and there was one that quoted us a good price for all the things we wanted and his work is really nice. He said it would only be about 15% less if it wouldn't of been Valentines Day. Maybe it helped that we didn't choose a lot of roses except for my bouquet.
