First fitting

I had my first fitting the other night.  It was very impromptu and very quick!  Basically, the seamstress wanted to make sure the dress was going to fit when she put the zipper back in.

Here's what I'm having done.  I'm having the side zipper put into the back, the sheer layer taken off the top and having  a lace replace it, then putting the buttons back on.

It sounds really simple, right?  But oh the poor thing was having such a time!  When she was taking the sheer layer off the top she was actually cutting the threads where they not only tacked the top layer to the underlayer but they also attached the beads!  She said beads were flying everywhere!  And some of the appliques had come off that way as well.  I'm so glad that I'm just having lace and I'm making my own beaded sash.

Really looking forward to the next fitting!
