Flip Flop Basket!!!

How many Flip Flops should I order for a guest list of 150? About half would be women... so around 40 pairs? Have you been to a wedding where they offer you dancing flip flops? Did people use/enjoy them?

We are having one also.  I think it's a great idea to help make your guests more comfortable so they can party hardy!

HMM: Check out the dollar stores sometimes they have really nice ones in stock.

At the end of May we went to a wedding where there had a flip-flop basket and those things were gone as soon as the doors to the banquet hall were opened! I would say there was 150 people at the wedding and there was probably 20-30 pairs in the basket...I must have moved too slow because there weren't any left when I went over to the basket with the other girls at our table. I didn't notice too many people wearing them during the evening though, perhaps they grabbed the wrong size. FYI-the Joann's near my house has them on their clearance racks for $1 per pair. They're all different colors and even some with designs (stripes, swirlies, hearts, etc.).

I want to get them at Old Navy because sometimes they have them on sale for $1 each. I would love them in Red & Brown (my colors) I think I'll get a variety of sizes 6-10 or so. Thanks so much for the advice ladies!

I was at Joannes yesterday and they had them for 50 cents a pair in blue, black and white, I believe. Probably not as good of quality at the ones at Old Navy though!

I raided Old navy a couple weeks ago when they had their $1 sale. I got about 30-35 pairs in various sizes and we are having about 170 guests. Hopefully that will be enough. Now i have to figure out where I am going to put the basket.

So I decided to steal you wonderful idea for my wedding! But I was wondering how you putting them in the baskets, are you leaving the plastic tags that bind them together so people could grab them more easily? Or are you using ribbon or something else for them to make sure the pairs stay together?

I'm presenting my black flip flops tied together in green ribbon in apple green damask BINS from the following link:

 http://www.themacbethcollection.com/

I plan to set up four bins that say SIZE 6, SIZE 7, SIZE 8, SIZE 9. I'll most likely be getting about 15-20 of each size. If I have time I plan to put a tag with a cute saying or something. What would be cute?

I also saw this poem another girl used, I think I may borrow:

"All night you've been on your feet,
Dancing to the music's beat,
But don't sit down and admit defeat,
Kick off your heels and enjoy this treat!
Compliments of the Newlyweds"
