Who is having a full mass length wedding or are you having a modified ceremony?
Im going to have the shortened length...
I am having a full mass. Its just the tradition in my family and I would have some very upset people if i didnt.
No way! No communion for us! :)
FI and his family are not Christian-Catholic and half of the guests are not either, we will be having a short ceremony, only the liturgy, no eucharist for us...
Full Mass up in here!!!! We are both very active in our Faith Community and although we have heard sighs from some of the guests...that's just how it's gonna be :)
We are doing a full mass. I could have gone either way, but it was important to my FI and his parents that we do the full mass. I think it's beautiful and since I'm Catholic, no problem!
Full mass for us too. Dont you get so mad when people complain about it?!! I went off on my brother. He said he was going to skip it and just go to the ceremony. ARE YOU SERIOUS!!! The eucharist is a vital part for me, and its sacred- but your going to skip my wedding ceremony , bc you dont want to wait 45 min for free booze. GRRR
we're catholic on both sides, so we did a full mass. i actually asked my mom to serve as eucharistic minister at our wedding mass. it was a lovely way to have her involved in the ceremony, and she was so touched that we asked her!
We had a full mass. I feel like this is the ceremony of your marriage so might as well go big!
a long full mass here too!
full nuptial mass as well!
We are having a full mass, both of our families are Catholic so it's normal for us.
we decided to have a full mass. every part is important to us, especially after going through confirmation together last december. my parents did not have a full mass, and my mom said she regrets not having it. the wedding coordinator at my parish said there was no significant difference in time for either ceremony, so we're going for it!
* i also hate when people complain! they can suffer in prayerful silence :)
I also don't like when people complain about how long a nuptial mass is.
WOW.... full mass ladies thats great to hear! I would've loved a full mass however as i stated earlier it will be a little awkward for half of the guests I want everyone to feel comfortable, In the end i am happy its in the Church sharing this blessed day with God and our freinds and family.... whoa can i make this any more longer? I think i am getting emotional...
venus - I get emotional when I think of all of our friends and family there in the church too!!! Not to mention, all of our church friends who are coming to witness our sacrament even though we were not able to invite them to the reception. WAH!
Having the short version. FI is not Catholic so we feel the short version is best.
My FI is not catholic either. even my mom said to me that the short version would be better for us.
