Who wants to be a part of our longest PW thread? Let's keep this thread going and see how long we can make it. Who's in????
Hey everyone, what's for dinner? I'm thinking a chef's salad. It's super hot here and I don't feel like cooking.
Tacos sound good too!
Ohh I love all this talk about getting fit. This morning I woke up early to do day 10 of 30 Day Shred. I'm already seeing results, my arms are getting definition! I also have heated yoga tonight.
Though the scale and I broke up last week. I'm not weighing myself for a month. Remember ladies, muscle weighs more than fat so if you're working out don't let the scale discourage you!
Thank you Nicole I needed that reminder!! My scale has been stuck for about 2 weeks now and it's driving me crazy!!! I need to kick my butt in gear for workouts so I'm going to give Elise's workout a try. I like it because I can do it in the fitness center at work or at home.
I did just start my first ever yoga class last week and I LOVE it!!
Awesome! I did do it the other day, and felt great :) Way to go!
Happy hump day...come on weekend!!!
I love that this is still going.
I love the May fitness craze. So much so I jumped on board. Still doing Stiletto Fitness but took my grandson for a walk the other day in his stroller and jogged halfway through...which just cracked him up for whatever reason.
Keep it going ladies.
Ohhh I also started the 30 day squat challenge over the weekend. I'm on day 4 and my butt is already lookin' better. ;)
Nicole (or anyone) can you post a pic of what a correct squat looks like? I always thought I was doing it right but the last trainer I had kind of confused me! I know your leg is supposed to be at a right angle and your knee shouldnt' extend over your toe...it never seems right when I do it!
Hmm I think you have it right, 90° angle in the leg and knee behind toes, that's what I do anyway (or try, ha!)
That's a great picture, Nicole. Feet about hip width apart, make sure knees are not caving in -keep them straight
I always tell people just pretend you're going to the bathroom and you don't want to actually sit down...your butt should be far back enough :P
Ha, nice analogy! I always feel like I'm getting a work out when I'm using a public toilet!
@nicoleleblanc The first part of June I plan to start the 30 day shred program I hope it works for me. There are alot of exercises I have found I can do at home now so my plan is to do stuff I can at home in the mornings and hit the gym in the evenings for my weights and treadmill/elliptical work. My birthday is exactly 30 days away and I want to be down 15 pounds.
@KimandByron I started the Monday after I turned 28, I start level 2 tomorrow and my last day is June 11. We're heading to Hawaii in July so I want to be super fit. You got this!! I'm already seeing results in just 10 days. I'll have to post a pic on my new guns!
Thats funny canooknic but a good idea. I made my daughter go on a walk with me tonight. We walked 20 minutes. This last week I've had some things going on and didn't get to make it to the gym but I'm going tomorrow for sure before we head out for our weekend of camping. I have already layed out my meals as to what I am going to eat while I am gone lol. My FI said can't you just let it go this weekend. I said NO WAY! lol
Exercise is great. It's a pity I do not have time for it. My body shape is good, but I am sure It will BE much better if I take regular exercises. Maybe it is the time now.
Happy Thursday ladies!!
What's on the agenda today? I'm pretty busy. I'm leaving work a bit early to pick up my contacts (I'm way overdue) then I have a laser apointment. After that heading home to start level 2 of 30 Day Shred and then 75 squats and possibly a run if the rain holds off.
I think I'll go make my first cup of coffee now.
Happy Thursday to you!1
@KimandByron - my advice for the Shred - prepare to be sore for the first week or so but don't let that discourage you because it will get easier!! I was SO incredibly sore when I started it, it hurt to move or sit! But it really did get a lot better in just a short time and it wasn't long before I was flying through the first 10 days even though when I first started I was nearly crying by the end!
I did the first 50 squats last night, not bad at all! I did the first 36 in 3 sets combined with a shoulder move and my arms are actually more sore than my legs! 250 still sounds like a loooong way away though :)
So true Sam! I was so so so sore during the first few days. Are you doing shred too or was that a previous time?
