* The sentence ‘Are you as bored as I am?’, can be read backwards and still make sense.

* When you put a seashell next to your ear, it’s the sound of blood surging in your veins, not the ocean.

* Supposedly, Yo Mama jokes were invented by Shakespeare.

* The word ‘suns’ still reads the same when upside down.

* People born in 1996-1999 have lived in three decades, two centuries, 2 millenniums and they’re not even 18 yet.

The Sharespearian "invention" of "maternal jokes" is actually rather cool. He was one of the BEST insulters in his writing, but we tend to miss it now because the language is so "high brow" to us now.

From Wikipedia (I know, I know, not a spectacular source, but we read this play in my Sharespeare class and talked about it)

William Shakespeare used such a device in Act I Scene 1 of Timon of Athens:

        Painter: "Y'are a dog."

Apemantus: "Thy mother's of my generation. What's she, if I be a dog?"

and

Demetrius: "Villain, what hast thou done?"
Aaron: "That which thou canst not undo."
Chiron: "Thou hast undone our mother."
Aaron: "Villain, I have done thy mother."

It's pretty awesome.
