I'm getting married on grass but I'm not doing a runner.  We're just doing petals up the aisle.  I'll just put more weight on my toes when I walk so as not to sink in too much.  I've been in weddings on grass before and it's not a big deal!

I'm torn on this one, I love the look of a runner, and our aisle is really long, I don't want my dress to get too stained before pics

I got married on the grass and just had petals, no aisle runner. My shoes didn't sink in and my dress didn't have any green stains.

Got married outside, no runner. No petals either, just the grass and the aisle lined with shephard's hooks dangling 6" pomanders and ribbon. I wore flats so I didn't have any sinkage.

I would imagine the runner would be lumpy from the grass, and it would have to be staked down into the grass to prevent it from bunching up when you walk down the aisle. I'm sure there are easy ways to do this, just keep it in mind if you decide to get a runner.

Good luck!
