Gorgeous and simple centerpiece idea here...

Obviously this meant for the holidays, but how awesome would something like this be for a wedding reception? You could pick up mix and match cyrstal stemware from second hand stores and garage sales for pretty cheap, clean them up and turn them over...voila! Instand candle holders!

Love this idea from Better Home and Gardens:

Wine Glass Candle

Turn crystal glasses upside-down on a tray and use the bottoms as a base for pillar candles. Wrap a small beaded garland around the base for extra decoration.

Yes, looks beautiful. We couldn't have done it for our wedding (strict candle restrictions) but at home!!! Great idea.

Great ideas! Somehow, my theme has evolved into sparkly crystals. I'm taking it all in.

I'm considering incorporating some Crystal Trees centerpieces. The only thing holding me back is the cost. I found this metal "ornament" stand and thought it might be a good alternative. Imagine it slightly larger, in silver with stands of crystals and "teardrop" crystals hung with ribbon. I would elevate the stand above the table 6-8" or so.

I need opinions on this. Its a fairly new idea of mine, so I'm looking for feedback.

I like the idea...you could fashion your own with wire...

What it you poked the wire into foam placed in a pot (painted gold or silver or white or whatever color you're using)...you could make them varied lengths...I am sure you can get heavy guage wire and needle nose pliers to curl them into a hook like above. You can anchor them in a pot that has flowers or not...and of course, hang the crystals.

Lori: That's exactly what I was thinking. I work with sterling silver wire scrolling and wrapping for jewelry. I'll try it out. Thanks!
