GREAT IDEA!!

I recently came upon an idea that i love.On each table, place a camera and have the guests sitting at the table take their own additioanl pictures with the camera on the table! They can take pictures that you would have never gotten to take and its a unique perspective from their view. And then you can print the pictures and have even more memories, aside from the professional photogrpher you hired.

well, that couldbe expensive. I saw disposible cameras this weekend that were $13 each!! So, we are going to print those cards that tell people they can upload their digital pics into our account and share them with us and all of our guests =)

You can get disposable cameras from $3-$5/each on any wedding favor website.  :o)

Yeah we are doing that

You can also buy personalized cameras for this exact reason. Lots of people make them favors. We are just going to put them at the tables and then have a drop off bin for them to leave the cameras.

if you or your fh has obnoxious friends, i'd suggest not doing this - otherwise you have pics of random bullshit that you're paying to ahve developed...

i think there needs to be a way to prevent this...Joe? Srini?  Something where you're required to make a certain number of posts first, or some way to verify that you're an actual bride/groom/whatever....

I agree with D1rty.....that happened at a wedding I was in a few years ago....some of the girls were smashed and went into the ladies room with their cameras.  They put the cameras under the stalls and took pics of the people that were in them......TACKY!! Needless to say neither the bride nor the groom found this funny after they got them developed.

I've seen camera scavenger hunts...where you put a list on the table of things people should take pictures of, like "the couple kissing"  "the oldest person at the table".  Sometimes you get kids who get a hold of the cameras, and then you get a bunch of shots of someone's shoe...not something you want to spend money on.  And www.theknot.com has cameras for sale right now.
